Tortello — trusted italian in Noble Square. Order the Focaccia. Always packed, always worth it, and fast service. "The Cacio e Pepe was also phenomenal, cooked perfectly and had a subtle heat" — Liam Montgomery

“My favorite, though, has to be the Squid Ink Bucatini — perfectly cooked with prawns, homemade roasted tomato butter, shallots, cherry tomatoes, lemon, and basil”

“This restaurant has the best Italian cuisine I have ever eaten, hands-down.”
This restaurant has the best Italian cuisine I have ever eaten, hands-down! Every appetizer and main dish was cooked to perfection and had exquisite flavor. This is the third time I’ve dined here and the quality is consistent every time. Tortello is very busy and the noise level is moderately loud, but that would not stop me from dining here again in a heartbeat at any given opportunity. The staff is extremely attentive, efficient, and knowledgeable regarding the menu. In addition to the food, the wine and the coffee are also second to none! Take the time to speak to the owner, Dario, if you have the time. He has a such a touching story about how Tortello began. We got a photo with him this time.

“First time here and it was amazing.”
First time here and it was amazing. Pasta was fresh and the best I have ever had. The tiramisu and the Nutella donuts are a 10/10 recommend. Owner was super nice and accommodating as well.

“We ordered the Tagliatelle Tina, Tortelli and a focaccia which were really good.”
We ordered the Tagliatelle Tina, Tortelli and a focaccia which were really good. You place your order and pay at the counter inside, take a number for your table, get seated and wait. We went on a Friday night so there was a line outside and the food took a bit to arrive but the staff was kind. Highly recommended sitting outside when it’s crowded (weather-permitting).

The best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. If you’re in Chicago, don’t skip this place. Cacio e Pepe was excellent. The Focaccia and Ricotta melt in your mouth.

“Beautiful handmade pasta being made in the window facing the street invites you into this small gem of a restaurant.”
Beautiful handmade pasta being made in the window facing the street invites you into this small gem of a restaurant. Order at the counter off a menu board, then grab a seat outside at the patio or inside at one of the tables in this long narrow space. Great small menu. We got the Pizza Frita , Focaccia Ricotta and Honey , Tagliatelle Tina and the Tiramisu. All were fantastic. My stand out was the Pizza Frita. Don't forget a spritz or 2 while you are there.

“Our favorite pasta spot in Wicker Park.”
Our favorite pasta spot in Wicker Park! This Michelin Bib Gourmand does not disappoint… you order, get a number and they bring the food to you. Highly recommend the Tortelli and Cavatelli el Pesto. 💚

“Incredible hand made pasta - maybe the best pasta I have ever had.”
Incredible hand made pasta - maybe the best pasta I have ever had. The cacio e Pepe is unreal. The passion they have for their food is self evident. My favorite spot in Chicago.

“Division Street has same vibe as nyc's lower east side.”
Division Street has same vibe as nyc's lower east side. And the food is all the same...just great. Tortello's pasta was spot on. Al dente, tasty (the servers wear t shirts that say Al dente fyi). For sure, would come back.

“Everything was phenomenal.”
Everything was phenomenal. Nothing too fancy, very solid pasta that isn’t too heavy. It was a great spot for lunch.

“Tortello is absolutely amazing.”
Tortello is absolutely amazing! The food is so fresh, and the handmade pasta is on another level. We tried the Signature Tortelli di Burrata — bursting with imported burrata from Puglia, topped with butter, sage, toasted hazelnuts, parmigiano, and a drizzle of balsamic. It literally melted in our mouths! Only wish it came with 6 pieces instead of 4 because it was sooo good. My favorite, though, has to be the Squid Ink Bucatini — perfectly cooked with prawns, homemade roasted tomato butter, shallots, cherry tomatoes, lemon, and basil. Every bite was full of flavor and so satisfying. On top of that, the decor is beautiful, making the whole experience even more special. This was the very first spot we checked out in Chicago, and it was definitely worth it!

“Tortello was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.”
Tortello was absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I think we ordered half of the menu! Honestly one of the best & freshest meals we have had! My husband & I met our 2 adult sons and we all LOVED it! From the Insalata di Polpo (octopus salad) & Burrata salad to the appetizers of Ricotta di Pecora & Focaccia, Ricotta & Honey... We were thrilled from the beginning! Then came the most delicious pastas - so fresh, such quality ingredients & beautiful! We each had a different favorite pasta but honestly it was so hard to pick our favorite....WE LOVED THEM ALL! We dined outside. Thanks for an amazing experience!
