“Everything about this restaurant is amazing. From the moment you walk in until the moment you’re out the door everything feels organic. The service, Jaylene, was absolutely wonderful, Sergio going over the start of the restaurant to the menu was so helpful for it being our first time. The food? The most iconic Italian food we’ve ever had, and I’ve had a ALOT of Italian food. Every dish was hot, fresh, delicious and served with so much love. The gelato scoop was huge for it being one scoop. We will definitely be going back.”

“This place was absolutely incredible! They have live music on some nights and wine specials throughout the week including bottles up to 50% off!! One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to, or my parents who spent a month in Italy last summer. The service was incredible!! The host was so charming sharing the menu how the blend of norther and southern Italians working and owning the place influenced the menu! Our waitress was absolutely superb as well, with the best timing and charm taking care of us. We were celebrating a birthday with my twin sister and our parents who had been traveling for two months. This left us all very chatty and we were never once rushed in a true Italian dinner experience! We were even graciously gifted free dessert after almost a half hour of us still talking after paying the check. We all left full and so happy with the entire experience! The portions were very generous as well but as you see in the photo almost everyone cleaned their plate since the food was so so good!”

“I have been throughout various parts of Italy throughout my last ten years of continuous travel. This restaurant is Italy, a true Southern Italian taste and style. I’ve been coming here for the last three years and the quality has never failed. I’ve brought friends and family and they have become customers of this 5-star establishment. This is the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in all of Chicagoland. Bravo Rafa e bravo a tutte la famiglia Taurasi.”

“Went for my birthday!! Food was amazing and so was the staff!!”

“We were in the area to have dinner and honestly were going to the neighboring restaurant and it seemed empty so we went to this Italian place without any plan. As soon as we sat down we were served bread which was so good that we ordered another one just to have it with their olive oil and cheese and it was absolutely delicious. As we came in the front desk person was very happy and gave us a smile which felt very genuine and got us a table quick. The place looks kinda vintage Italian and cozy with a charming slightly old world vibe. Our waiter who had started a week back was very polite and helpful. We started off with our drinks, an Old Fashioned and a Manhattan. The Old Fashioned was less sweet so we requested an update and they were quick to add sweetness to the drink. Based on the recommendation of our server we ordered the banana peppers stuffed with smoked mozzarella, Italian sausage, tomato sauce, and cheese topping. This was by far the best Italian appetizer we have had, it was very flavorful and spicy. Loved it. For our main course again the server suggested the lobster crab ravioli and the Bucatini Westmont. My wife loved the ravioli and I did like the Bucatini, just that I felt it was not cooked to my needs, but the flavor was excellent. We also ordered a side of the beef meatball and it was heaven, so so good. Based on all the food and the recommendation we decided to have dessert as well. Similar to the other foods we asked the server and he suggested we have the double chocolate cake which was dark chocolate. We were sold and it was again the best dessert we had, truly amazing. We will definitely come back.”

“Ordered for pick up. Beef meatball and spaghetti and Chicken Alfredo. Both dishes were rich and tasteful, homemade and authentic.”

“We had a wonderful meal for five on a Wednesday night. Beautiful wine list and a great assortment of homemade pastas. Kyle was an excellent server to help our group.”

“I wouldn’t normally order a steak at an Italian restaurant, but when the waiter told me about the special Italian sauce and the select cut of ribeye, it sounded too good to pass up. His words? “You’re going to love it.” Well, I/we couldn’t have been more wrong. The presentation was great! It looked perfect, but cutting into it is when I discovered that looks can be deceiving. This steak was loaded with gristle. Gristle that defied any attempt to remove or cut it. At first, I thought (hoped?) that it was just that section, and the rest would be as good as it looked. Nope. The entire steak was absolutely awful. It was SO bad, it is possibly the worst steak I’ve ever had. And at my age, that’s quite a statement. The next disappointment came when I got the bill. The “special” came in at a whopping $88! I talked to the waiter, and he acknowledged that he saw how much was uneatable, but simply shrugged his shoulders and said he was sorry. It was like he knew I was being robbed, but that’s just the way it is at Taurasi. If you’re foolish enough to go to Taurasi, at a minimum, do not order the steak, and be sure to ask the price of any special. At Taurasi, the “special” is for them, not you.”
“This is one of the best hidden gems in the burbs. The owner takes care of every guest like they’re family. The specials are always on point and they accommodate all types of allergies. Taurasi is a place to go. Don’t forget half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays 😃”
“Delightful place wonderful atmosphere and very very yummy food. We like to go there for the wine tastings.”
