Nonno Pino's — high-caliber italian in Far North Side. Classic neighborhood feel, nothing here chasing trends. There's real intention behind the cocktail list. Inesa Ulitina: "The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were rich and satisfying"

“The margherita is perfection distilled, the cacio e pepe pie is a black-pepper bomb of joy, and the nightly specials (think pistachio mortadella or nduja with hot honey) will ruin you for every other pizza on earth”
Just recently had dinner here and the food was absolutely horrible. The sauce taste like it came out of a can.
This restaurant failed by every metric. They ruined my last night with my family before traveling.

“While visiting Chicago, we discovered Nonno Pino’s through Google Reviews—and it absolutely lived up to the hype.”
While visiting Chicago, we discovered Nonno Pino’s through Google Reviews—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We started with the Nonno Puffs, which were a delightful and flavorful appetizer. For our mains, we had the pistachio-crusted chicken and a seasonal special: butternut squash pasta in a rich bourbon and butter sauce. Both dishes were outstanding. We ended the meal with a classic cannoli—crisp, creamy, and the perfect sweet finish. The service was fantastic—warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area!

A gem. Delicious, quality food (and this is the opinion of California "foodies" who often visit Italy). Super nice service, and great neighborhood vibe. Also love the old school architecture.

“Absolutely delicious food.”
Absolutely delicious food! Everything we tried was fantastic. The wild mushroom risotto with beef tenderloin was to die for! The pistachio crusted chicken was super tender and delicious as well. Highly recommended!

“I wanted to update my five star review review from two years ago and again give this wonderful restaurant five stars!”
I wanted to update my five star review review from two years ago and again give this wonderful restaurant five stars!. We have been to Nonno Pinos dozens and dozens of times over the past two years. During this pandemic we have done our best to support this wonderful and high quality locally-owned Independent Business in the heart of Edison Park. We ordered the "family of five" meal deal and our food was fantastic! #ShopLocal From 2018: Nonno Pino is an anchor to the wonderful downtown Edison Park Entertainment District. We were there on a Friday for a birthday celebration and our food was excellent and well prepared. David our server was charming, inviting, funny, and made our visit to this restaurant unforgettable. The drinks were excellent, our crab cakes and calabrese's salad more perfect and our entrees were served hot and fresh.

“Meal was fantastic.”
Meal was fantastic! That seems to be the formula for Nonno Pino's longevity. They are very consistent in all the times I've been there over the last 20 years (approximately in that range). All of the meals I've had have been well thought out, cooked and executed perfectly. Our waiter the other night was top notch. He was extremely friendly, very detailed, and had great knowledge of the Nonno menu. He took the time to explain, in detail, all dishes, specials, etc. Right from the start he was on his "A" game and set the tone for the meal. Most importantly kept that up through the whole meal. I will continue to frequent and recommend Nonno Pino's to family and friends. Price point is always within |reason too. (Sorry - no good pics)

“Salmon is fresh and tasty.”
Salmon is fresh and tasty. Service is great, old fashioned was one of the worst in the neighborhood. Attaching a picture , of a beat up cherry in a cup full of ice.
