Lou Malnati's Pizzeria — italian in Wicker Park. The walls could tell stories. Creative without being gimmicky, and moves fast. Andrew Kha: "I'd say this is the best middle ground because it was still a decent deep dish pizza but the crust"

I decided to try the Buffalou Chicken and it was fantastic! The Frank's Red Hot was spot on. I added some ranch for dipping when I got home! Always the best!

“So we've had the competitor's pizza , but it's been a while.”
So we've had the competitor's pizza , but it's been a while. So while in Chicago, we had to try Lou's. Let's start with the buffalo wings (boneless). They don't get better than this. No gristle-y parts, light breading without clumps of breading and no meat. Just pure chicken breast with the perfect spicy buffalo sauce. The only improvement would've been having blue cheese dressing, they were just superb. Then we got to the pizza. We had this meal delivered, and we're at an Airbnb, so I had to have the restaurant cut the pizza even though they warned against it with delivery. Guys, it was amazing. The sauce was the best, THE BEST, and I don't normally like chunky tomato sauce. This was seasoned so well and was perfect. The sausage layer was great, and we also added pepperoni. The sauce sold it for me, though. Others in my group raved about the crust and cheese, and yeah, those were tasty, have I mentioned the sauce? I'd definitely get this pizza again, and it will remain a special, unforgettable meal in my memory. Oh, and the cookies were fine. Very sugary -like I could discern the granulated sugar. That's not for me.

Deep dish. Deep love. @loumalnatis you had me with your massive sausage... pizza Dinner total: $32 each Open: year round Seating: none Parking: off-street Order: 1 Chicago Classic and 1 Veggie. Pros: Blew my mind. Not just a sprinkle of sausage as a topping. NO. A WHOLE LAYER OF SWEET ITALIAN SAUSAGE PERFECTION. As a huge fan of sausage pizza, this is the best. I've. Ever. Had. Cons: They ship their pizza anywhere so what was supposed to be a fling can turn into a weekend reunion anytime you're in the mood.

“I love this location.”
I love this location! The staff are super friendly and the service is fast! They do an amazing job at anticipating the needs of their patrons and providing a little extra! When I can eat pizza or wings, I always choose this location for take out. I’d ordered some wings, but early, this had to wait for my order. They served complimentary pizza which was awesome! They said they had many orders and wanted us to be able to snack while we waited! (I love the Service and Sentiment)! Every business will error sometimes, My order was partially incorrect which wasn’t good since I’m on Atkins; having to stick to my plan. When I called Joyce was amazingly hospitable, even offering to replace it at a later date. I called today to take her up on the offer! Everyone here is an amazing representation of Lou Mañalti’s great service as the full service restaurants!

“Decent little tucked away carry out spot.”
Decent little tucked away carry out spot. Maneuvering can be a bit tight, but you can also exit onto the alley behind the complex. Food is typical for lous and pretty solid

“Really enjoy their pizza and this place offers the both take out or delivery.”
Really enjoy their pizza and this place offers the both take out or delivery. You can customize the pizza if you call or order on their application and I have enjoyed their thin crust plus their promotions. These last times, they do curb side pick up so they do come out to know what you are picking up and they will bring it out to you. They have free parking and you may walk up to pickup. Will come back.

“The crust was soggy in the middle.”
The crust was soggy in the middle. I'm not sure if that's typical for a Chicago style pizza, but I found it not particularly appetizing. This location does take out only. I wish they had thought to offer us utensils when we picked the pizza up, because after about ten minutes we had to come back to the shop as the slices are inedible without plates, forks and knives. The cheese was nice and salty and there was a good amount of garlic.

“First time getting deep dish in Chicago and was told to give this place a go even though it was a chain.”
First time getting deep dish in Chicago and was told to give this place a go even though it was a chain. It wasn’t bad but nothing that blew my socks off. Staff was very friendly. One thing that was odd, was that they ran out of pepperoni. Probably the most popular ingredient and they ran out of it. Supply chain issues I guess.

“The crust was good.”
The crust was good. For what it was worth; pretty expensive pizza. I got the Lous pizza in a medium Size and it cost $28. The pizza is very filling, though. I had to transport this back, so it got really soggy. This is best eaten fresh at the restaurant, but there is no where to dine in inside. Service was meh. I can see the appeal, but not my favorite style of pizza.
