Lou Malnati's Pizzeria — italian in Irving Park. The walls could tell stories, and no long waits.

One of the worst pizzas I’ve had. Tasted like frozen pizza.
This review is more for the company’s “policy” than anything else.
I order catering service for 15 people for this past Sunday.

Occasionally, we treat ourselves to a Lou Malnati's deep-dish pizza. We are always satisfied with the experience. The buttery crust and delicious ingredients make this pizza a special treat for us!

“You know exactly what you're going to get with Lou Malnati's, and that's absolute deep dish perfection.”
You know exactly what you're going to get with Lou Malnati's, and that's absolute deep dish perfection! 🍕 And let me tell you, I absolutely love this pizza. The quality of the ingredients shines through, and that signature deep dish flavor is unmatched. If you're looking for the real deal in Chicago, and pizza that you'll truly adore, this is it. 😋

“I ordered for delivery, highly recommend Lou’s Deep Dish CYO.”
I ordered for delivery, highly recommend Lou’s Deep Dish CYO. App is easy to use, service is reasonably fast for pizza. My overall experience was great but the pizza is by far my favorite in IL. Never disappointed with the quality / perfection of my pizza. It’s an investment for me. Lasts long and heats up good as new. The employees are friendly and it’s become my new weekly date night dinner at home. Thank you guys for putting so much love and care into everything and providing quality food with fast efficient service.

“The best deep dish in the city.”
The best deep dish in the city! The service was great and the ratio of cheese to sauce was perfect. I ordered half pepperoni, half sausage and they paid attention to every detail. Highly recommend and will visit again!

“I love Lou Malnati’s pizza- the crust is the best in the city!”
I love Lou Malnati’s pizza- the crust is the best in the city!! The Chicago Classic deep dish with its unique sausage and tomatoes on top is one of my favorite pizzas in the city!! This particular location was very good but not the best I’ve ever had. They give extras like red pepper flakes and real Parmesan cheese (comes cold from the fridge!). Would recommend for anyone looking for authentic deep dish pizza.

“Great location right off of I 90 on Irving Park Rd.”
Great location right off of I 90 on Irving Park Rd. and close to my house. Some of the best deep dish pizza in Chicago along with Gino's East. I'd probly pick Gino's East over Lou Malnati's but that's just me. Also while at this location I noticed on the wall their claim to being the original deep dish pizza... This is in fact false. the restaurant now known as Pizzeria Uno in downtown Chicago at 29 E Ohio St, Chicago, IL 60611 was the first deep dish pizza establishment and opened in 1943.

“This review is more for the company’s “policy” than anything else.”
This review is more for the company’s “policy” than anything else. The employees are friendly and seem to do their jobs just fine. I ordered a large Malnati Chicago classic deepdish. The pizza comes with sausage, but I asked for only half of it with sausage and leave the other half with just cheese. Upon paying, their “policy” made it so I was to be charged an additional $3.80 for extra sausage. I found this a little confusing because the pizza already came with sausage, and I was only asking for half of the usual quantity of sausage, yet I was to be charged an additional $3.80. I spoke with the manager and said there was nothing he could do because it was the company “policy” which was disappointed. Due to principle, I did not pay and unfortunately had to get my pie elsewhere. I hope this policy can change - I doubt I’m the only customer who’s encountered this issue.

“Very disappointed by our recent takeout pizza from here.”
Very disappointed by our recent takeout pizza from here. We haven’t had Lou Malnati’s in a while and we decided to order a large deep dish pizza. For paying nearly $50, we were expecting a delicious flavorful pizza. However, right on the first bite we tasted nothing? Sauce was flavorless, sausage meat was flavorless, and the 99 cent butter crust we asked for was no where to find in the overcooked pizza we were eating. On top of that, we waited nearly an hour for this pizza. My wife and mother-in-law were beyond disappointed and barely finished 1 slice. This was a terribly flavorless expensive pizza, and we couldn’t believe we paid nearly $50 for this sad excuse of a deep dish pizza. We would have rather went to Chicago’s Pizza for their deep dish pizza instead. We won’t be making this mistake next time.

“I ordered a small deep dish pizza last night and when I got home something was odd about the pizza,...”
I ordered a small deep dish pizza last night and when I got home something was odd about the pizza, I made some coffee and ate a couple of slices. Since I was very tired while watching a movie I didn’t think much of it. When I went to reheat the remaining of the pizza this morning I noticed the pizza was thin with the bread thicker than the cheese and sauce not to mention that was harder than a rock just like the night before . I checked my receipt to confirm it was a deep dish I ordered before leaving this review and not a thin crust pizza and I did not order a thin crust. I’ll think twice about ordering pizza from this particular branch, very disappointed with last visit, for that I could have gone to any other mom and pops pizza joint..

Every time we order it takes over and hour for the delivery to arrive and our order is always messed up and cold! Under the new ownership Lou’s has gone down hill. Will not be ordering from this them anymore. Ordered boneless wings and every time they send me bone in
