Gaia Ristorante Italiano — among the best italian in Berwyn. Modern space that photographs well but eats even better. The cocktail list is worth exploring. "The fried calamari was a strong start: light, crispy, and fresh" — Ricardo Robles

“Decided to try this Italian restaurant out and they did not disappoint.”
Decided to try this Italian restaurant out and they did not disappoint. Tuesday night and it was not crowded, our server Fernando took exceptional care of my family. Made great recommendations and the star of the show was the Cacio de Pepe in the big cheese wheel, it was like Alfredo but on steroids. This is now one of our regular spots!

AMAZING!!! Decided on a vacation week! Chose Berwyn due to its proximity to Chicago. Glad we did! What a great community! We stopped in around 5pm. Nice greeting! Quickly seated. We started with the Bruschetta. Instantly knew we were in the right place! Grilled bread! Not to hard not to soft. Fresh ingredients, great flavor. I chose the lamb chops. Holy Smokes! Best I’ve ever had and that’s saying something!! I don’t know how they did it!!?? Grilled! Breaded! Crunchy! Tender! Perfectly cooked. Broccoli perfectly! Served with potatoes that were a little crispy with big flavor! My wife had the Crab Cake. It was huge! Loaded with crab and perfectly seasoned and fried. The sauce paired perfectly with this dish. She also had penne pasta in their Marsala sauce. Again, everything was fresh and amazing. Ended it all with 2 desserts because why not! Tiramisu….Amazing Crème Brûlée…Amazing We ate all over Chicago, this was our #1 favorite! Thanks for a great meal! I’ll be dreaming about those chops!! 🤤🤤😃

“Gaia Ristorante Italiano Review – 4.7/5 Gaia is truly a hidden gem in Berwyn—an unassuming spot...”
Gaia Ristorante Italiano Review – 4.7/5 Gaia is truly a hidden gem in Berwyn—an unassuming spot serving high-quality Italian food that punches well above its weight. The fried calamari was a strong start: light, crispy, and fresh. A solid 4/5 for quality and execution. The fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was anything but ordinary. This isn’t your typical heavy Alfredo sauce—it’s creamy but well-balanced, clearly made with high-quality cheese and ingredients. It’s a refined take that really works. The standout of the evening was the Chicken Vesuvio—absolutely phenomenal. Flavorful, perfectly cooked, and an easy 5/5. The pasta carbonara followed suit with rich flavor and great texture, earning a 4.2/5. You can taste the care in every dish. The only drawback? The atmosphere. While the food speaks volumes, the dining space itself feels a bit lifeless—sterile and lacking the warmth you’d expect from such a passionate kitchen. Final verdict: 4.7/5 Come for the food, stay for the flavors—but if ambiance is a big part of your dining experience, know that it leans more “hidden gem” than cozy trattoria.

“This was unexpectedly a great place to have a fine Italian dinner.”
This was unexpectedly a great place to have a fine Italian dinner. For this place being in Berwyn was surprising. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the atmosphere felt comfortable even if we were under dressed. A little upscale spot right off the tracks on Windsor. I tried the caccio de pepe put into the cheese wheel table side and it was amazing. Nice presentation as well. I added breaded chicken as well and it was lightly breaded and very delicious. The drinks were well made I had "off the tracks" which was made with Gin and it was so good.

“Absolutely exceptional dining experience.”
Absolutely exceptional dining experience. The staff was incredibly kind, the environment was lovely, and the food was fantastic. The beef short rib ravioli was one of the best bites I’ve ever tasted. I am still thinking about it. Highly recommend and definitely worth the drive!

Drove all the way from Madison, WI for dinner at Gaia, and it was 100000% worth the drive. The cacio e Pepe served fresh from the cheese wheel was fabulous, you could definitely tell the pasta was fresh and homemade. The steak was cooked to perfection and the meatballs were some of the best I’ve had in my life. service was excellent, all the staff was extremely friendly and it’s very evident that they all enjoy their job, I will be returning!!

“This place is beautiful amazing as soon as you walk in you smell the deliciousness definitely...”
This place is beautiful amazing as soon as you walk in you smell the deliciousness definitely recommend this place for Italian food The service was horrible with our waitress she forgot a plate forgot brought the bread after the pasta, arrived forgot the cup of lemonade for my kid, the food took longer than expected to arrive luckily we ordered appetizers I normally don't ever complain but she was bad very upset but we still tipped her and the supervisor or manager gave us a plate to go, bread and a free sangria their sangria is amazing too! Parking was ok bathroom was clean the bus boys served us better thn our actual waitress to the point that the table next to us even noticed how they took a while for our food we were there way before everyone else and were served last but anyway we found a good waiter that when we return we will ask for Pepe he is amazing and helped too so shout out to Pepe and the busboys there they were amazing Definitely check this place out!!! Everything was 5 stars but our waitress ohhh their bruschettas were delicious too!!
