“Can’t go wrong here. Amazing food, amazing service, fantastic drink pairings. It will cost you a pretty penny, we went all in and spent $250+ per person. But we don’t regret it. A true highlight of our trip to Chicago and a highlight of all my collective dining experiences. Preset tasting menus, for vegetarian and non vegetarian, both unique, both excellent. There were no missed opportunities here, no afterthoughts. Truly, excellence embodied in food and service. Bravo.”

“I was honestly very impressed. This is probably the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been too. Food was delicious. The wine pairings was one of the best part. I got the reserve pairings and the somm introduced me to some cool wines I haven’t heard of before. My only small criticism is the 20% mandatory tip and 4% service charge was somewhat suprising at the end.”

“A fantastic tasting menu experience with an incredible range of spices, flavors, and textures! The space is modern and artsy, and the service struck a great balance of being warm and attentive without feeling overly formal. The opening bites were refreshing and creative, while the egg was the first real standout with its comforting & layered flavors. The lobster add-on was exceptional with some of the best-cooked lobster I’ve had with delicate texture and bold flavors. The chicken was another highlight, while the lamb was the only course that didn’t quite land for me, with a slightly overpowering barbecue notes and a drier texture. By the end we were absolutely stuffed, and I’d probably skip the extra bread next time. Overall, a memorable tasting menu with amazing execution and one I’d happily recommend. One note - there’s a 4% surcharge on top of the 20% gratuity, though it was removed without issue when we asked.”

“We really loved the overall experience. Idli sambar (with their twist), Dal Makhni and Banarasi Tomato were our favorites. It was the right amount of spice, richness, flavor in everything we tasted. The five course meal initially seemed less at course 1-2, but as you progress through the courses, the food was actually pretty filling.”

“Never taken food pics before but Indienne hits different. The food hit the right notes. The only thing I'd probably skip ..is the tamarind mocktail. Our host Eric was the best....He is definitely the GOAT when it comes to playing host. The 5th star is for him.”

“Had a great experience overall and some of the best bites I’ve ever had. My favourite dishes were the egg with the brioche and the lobster tail. The chicken makhani was also very rich and delectable. The appetizers however were not my favourite, I personally didn’t like the frozen elements- it felt like the frostiness masked the actual flavours if that makes sense. The first app dahi puri was a fun bite but the other 2 I wasn’t too crazy about. But the entrees definitely made up for it. I was stuffed by the end of all the courses and very very satisfied!”

“I was fortunate to enjoy dinner at Indienne with my team, and the entire experience was exceptional. The food, service, and ambiance were all outstanding from start to finish. What impressed me most was how unique and innovative the cuisine was. As someone who enjoys Indian food, I was delighted to experience flavors, presentations, and combinations that were completely new to me. This is exactly what I expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, an experience that goes beyond a great meal and introduces diners to something memorable and unexpected. The service was attentive, professional, and warm, while the elegant atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. In a city like Chicago, which is truly a paradise for food lovers, Indienne stands out as a remarkable culinary destination. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing another unforgettable meal. Highly recommended.”

“Had an extraordinary dining experience at Indienne. Every course was a beautiful expression of creativity, precision, and storytelling, showcasing Indian cuisine in a way that is both deeply rooted and remarkably innovative. The attention to detail throughout the experience was exceptional. Kudos to Sujan Sarkar and the entire team for delivering a truly world class dining experience. Well deserving of its Michelin recognition.”

“Amazing bday dinner! Everything from the ambience, the food, NA drinks, wine pairing amazing.”

“What an experience Kudos to Chef Sarkar for an delightful experience ! all courses were meant to be inspiring!”

“My boyfriend and I came back to specifically to try the bar after doing the tasting menu last year, and honestly it was just as impressive in a completely different way. We planned to stop in for a couple cocktails and a few bites… and somehow ended up ordering basically the entire menu. Everything was incredible, but what really stood out was the service and attention to detail. We went on a slower weekday night and were the only people at the bar, but they treated us like VIPs the entire time. At one point, my cocktail had been sitting long enough that the chilled glass lost its frost, and without me saying a word, the bartender brought over a fresh frozen glass and poured the drink into it. Such a small thing, but that level of care is rare. I also mentioned that I was hoping the pani puri would be on the bar menu because we loved it so much from the tasting menu last year. A little later, they surprised us with a complimentary bite inspired by it from the tasting menu. Totally unnecessary, totally memorable. The cocktails, wine, food, service… all phenomenal. Honestly such a great move if you can’t get a reservation for the tasting menu but still want the full Indian experience. One of the best restaurants in Chicago, easily.”

“I was very impressed with not only the non vegetarian tasting menu at Indienne; but the attentiveness and hands-on service to accompany. We got to experience a variety of flavorful, colorful dishes that felt authentic and well thought-out. This place is wonderful to bring a date or to entertain. Everyone should have the privilege of dining here at least once. Not to mention the cocktails are just as incredibly balanced - special mentions to the Kombu Gin and Tonic, and the Ginger cocktail. Big thanks to our server Matias for being so amazing, kind, and helpful!”
