“Excellent restaurant. Very well prepared and freshly made. I was there with my family and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Staffs were very nice and friendly. Excellent service. Hope they maintain the same. Highly recommend”

“Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was flavorful and delicious. Becky, our waitress, was friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu to us. The bartender showed us the homemade infusions and the drinks were awesome. The atmosphere is upscale, clean, and inviting. The owner stopped by our table and was friendly and welcoming. You can really tell this place takes pride in both their food and hospitality. Highly recommend!”

“Food was delicious! Service was great! Will be returning in the future!”

“Such a wonderful experience. Great service, beautiful menu, great atmosphere! Incredibly delicious and aromatic. Variable levels of spiciness. Bread stuffed with nuts and other delicacies. Fancy cashew ice cream dessert. Perfect sauces. Very fancy vegetarian dish with a cashew sauce that was to die for. No room for improvement. Extremely comfortable. Large and clean and airy and contemporary and yet traditional and comforting with exotic flair! Completely authentic by very talented chefs. Inventive and yet familiar and traditional. Progressive but grounded in solid Indian seasonings. I'd give it 10 stars if they allowed it here!”

“This is a great restaurant in the neighborhood. The ambience, decor and quality food make it perfect for an occasion. The infused drinks are just awesome. Went there last month to celebrate marriage anniversary and had a great experience!! I will definitely recommend this place for a good date night!!”

“We ordered to-go for dinner today. We ordered as vatan spice but we were not sure what the level it was mild-medium-spice. The food was extremely spicy and kids were unable to eat. When we tried calling the restaurant, we did not get a proper response, and instead they were defensive. I wouldn’t recommend the vatan spice for kids as it is very hot. I would suggest the restaurant to mention clearly what ‘vatan’ spice level is, so that it would help customers to decide.”

“We dined at Vatan on the 13th night and were honestly very disappointed with the food. We ordered the Swadeshi, and it was outright bad — we couldn’t even finish half a glass. It had a very strange, unpleasant taste. The cauliflower parcels lacked flavor entirely, the paratha was undercooked, and everything felt extremely bland. We also tried the Vegetarian Parda Biryani, but again there was that same odd taste. It was not well balanced — too much gravy, very little white rice, and overall not the authentic blend you expect from a good biryani. The ambience and aesthetics are beautiful, and the place looks great. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting and does not suit an Indian palate at all. Wouldn’t visit again. Very disappointed with the overall experience.”
“We ordered the chicken wings from Vatan Canteen and absolutely loved them! I've been to this place multiple times, and it never disappoints. The chicken wings are packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and definitely a must-try. Highly recommended if you're looking for delicious food and a consistently great experience!”
“After moving out here from Chicago, we finally have a fantastic Indian restaurant! Wow, impressive cocktail menu and the service was perfect. Trishna our server was impressively attentive and helpful.”
“We had a great experience here. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was impeccable. This feels like a hidden gem in the St Charles area. We hope to be back soon!”
“Love the ambiance. My elementary-school-aged son called the lobster curry "maybe the best meal I've ever had. Amazing!" We also enjoyed the samosa, galouti kabab, palak burrata, garlic naan and jeera rice. I've been twice now, and have tried three different cocktails. All great, and interesting flavors.”
“I ordered the chicken wings from the Canteen menu at Vatan Indian Restaurant .OMG! The wings were mind-blowing! The taste, the sauce, and the smokiness were amazing. I ordered the Dry Rub and Makhani Mix Wings—highly recommended! Great service, great place, and awesome food. I’ll definitely be back!”
