“I found everything we tried to be well-seasoned, warming, and tasty. Service was very friendly. The Southside doesn’t have much for good Indian food, so I’d say Tandoori House in Orland and this are both comparably good on flavor. The garlic naan is a stand out, with lots of little air pockets forming nicely within the dough. Malai kofta, while good on flavor of the sauce was very skimpy on the dumplings (5 very tiny ones, maybe quarter sized). I’ll get butter chicken next time instead. Lamb biryani had plenty of tender lamb pieces and was a bigger portion. Both biryani rice and white rice were cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is kind of cafeteria-like and cold, but that’s ok when the piping hot food warms you right up. We’ll definitely be back to try more.”

“An absolute flavor explosion—this is hands-down some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the aroma of fresh spices set the bar high, and the kitchen delivered on every front. The Butter Chicken was incredibly creamy with just the right amount of smoky char, and the Garlic Naan was pillowy, warm, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce. We also tried the Lamb Rogan Josh, which was fork-tender and packed with deep, authentic heat.Even with a full house, the service was attentive and genuine. It’s rare to find a spot that hits the perfect balance of cozy atmosphere and high-end flavor. If you’re looking for a meal that feels like a warm hug but tastes like a gourmet feast, this is it”

“I had the pleasure of eating at Little India Restaurant, and it easily stands out as some of the best Indian food in the area. From the moment the dishes hit the table, you could tell everything was made fresh with care and attention to detail. The Chicken Tikka Masala was incredibly rich and creamy, with a deep, savory flavor and just the right level of spice that builds with each bite without being overpowering. The Chicken Vindaloo is a must try if you enjoy bold flavors the sauce had a perfect balance of heat and tanginess, and the chicken was tender and well marinated, soaking up every bit of that spice. The Chicken Biryani was another standout, both visually and in flavor. It came out vibrant and aromatic, with perfectly cooked rice layered with spices that complemented the chicken beautifully. Every bite had a mix of warmth, fragrance, and texture that made it hard to stop eating. We paired everything with their garlic naan, which was served fresh, soft, and slightly crisp on the edges, with a buttery garlic flavor that tied all the dishes together perfectly. It’s the kind of naan you keep reaching for without even thinking about it. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, with plenty of seating, making it a great place to bring a large family or group and share a variety of dishes together. The service felt attentive without being overbearing, adding to the overall experience. Overall, you can expect high quality, flavorful dishes made with consistency and care. I definitely recommend stopping by and trying a few different items on the menu, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll absolutely be coming back the next time I’m in the area.”

“Today I had the pleasure of trying out little India for the first time as a suggestion from my girlfriend. I have to say I had had other restaurants but nothing quite as good and as of hidden of a gem as this place is. The prices were more than fair. Great I should say if you like Indian cuisine and you’re in the area you are missing out by not giving this place a try. I recommend 11/10”

“We had the butter chicken and plain naan. It was really yummy and the spice level medium was perfect for sure. I’d definitely come back to try more dishes. 💛”

“This place is a no frills hole in the wall type place, but they keep it clean and the food speaks for itself. My mom, sister, nephew and I came here for early dinner. The waiter or possibly owner was very nice, he offered us a extra samosa cause me, my sister, and nephew each wanted one but it only came in a order of 2. We each ordered a lassi- i originally was going to just get a diet coke cause I am diabetic, he said he didnt have any but offered to go to the liquor store and grab one next door. I thought it was sweet but I really didnt want him to go thru all the trouble. So I opted for a non sweet ' salt lassi.' THIS was my fault for not thinking of how it taste- but it was very savory and salty so I didnt finish it- that was my fault not his for not considering that. Lesson learned. The food was delicious. I got the paneer, my sister got masala, my mom got daal, and my nephew got butter chicken. I asked for Nana cause I dont usually like rice but the rice was cooked so perfectly I actually ate it with my food. The paneer was delicious and my mom, sister, and nephew said their food was really good. The samosas were some of the best and the sauce that went with it was so fresh tasting. It was all delicious. It is no frills but the hole in the walls serve the most delicious food. And this was the best Indian food. The naan was the best I had in awhile. I would Def go back. If you care more about really good food over ambience dont overlook them! They are very good and the server or owner was very nice and accommodating.”

“Their House Biryani was delicious! Will definitely be back! ❤ :)”

“I love, love the food here - some of the best I've had in the Chicagoland area! I have a huge appetite & subcontinent/South Asian fares are one of my favourite, as I've been eating them my entire life. I don't have to drive too far anymore to enjoy quality Indian cuisine 😌. The tandoori tikka, butter chicken, cheese naan, mango lassi, veg biryani & simosas were all a 10/10. The mint & tamarind chutneys are the unsung heroes which punched above their weight (chef's kiss) 🤌. The hospitality & professionalism were on another level! Our server Anna (sorry if I misspelled your name) was very friendly. Thank you, Little India team! 🇮🇳🍛”

“Really delicious food made to perfection! The malai boti lacked some flavor, it tasted more of the heavy cream than the spices, but the butter chicken was bomb! And the biryani was fabulous! Just the best biryani in town I’d say. This biryani style is Indian not Pakistani so it’s quite different in spice selection but it was the best biryani I’ve had around here and also had plenty of meat chunks not just bones.”
