“I found this place on Uber Eats and I have been a fan since the first taste! I like the Biryani the best. It's great with any meat or veggies. Great place!”
“I’ve been living in Naperville for the past two years, but somehow never got a chance to try this place until now. The food was excellent, and the portion sizes were very generous. The naan was especially impressive, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and one of the best I’ve had in the area. We visited on June 10th and had an overall good experience. There was one tall employee wearing glasses who served us. Nothing negative about him, and he seemed friendly, but he had a very Gen Z-style attitude and sense of humor, which we found funny. 😂😅We were okay with it and even laughed about it, but some customers might not take it the same way. I also feel that a more professional appearance and dress code can help create a better impression. Overall, the food was the highlight, and I would definitely come back for the quality and portions.”
“Food and atmospheres were good. Service needs attention. We had to constantly ask for water few time. Sambhar was cold (they forgot to turn on burner). When we reminded them about it, they replaced with hot one in less than 5 minutes with more liquidy one. when dosa was ready, they didn’t call or anything. We had to keep eye on it to make sure we go pick it up when ready.”
“I was searching for a good real veg buffet and decided to try hearing their veg options and I was amazed by their quality and quantity of the options. Even though it was mix of both veg and non veg buffet,I liked all veg buffet options a lot. Desserts were amazing and they had at least 4-5 appetizers/starters that very few restaurants offer. Taste was the best. I was surprised that many restaurants have stopped buffet on Sunday but this place stands out. Staff was courteous. Booth seating gives privacy for family. Price was reasonable with reduced pricing for kids.keep up the great work team.”
“We stopped here for lunch during our visit to Chicago. Since many Indian restaurants were closed on Tuesday, we were happy to find Golconda Indian Restaurant open and it turned out to be a great choice! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Goat Paaya Soup, Gongura Chicken, and Mutton Biryani. Everything was flavorful, authentic, and cooked to perfection. The staff and owner were warm, welcoming, and very helpful, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for authentic South Indian (Hyderabadi) cuisine in the Chicago area, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely visit again when we’re in the area.”
“The dosa itself was a great balance of crisp and soft bites, subtly buttery and toasty with that signature fermented tang. Sambar was hearty but a bit greasy. Both the tomato-ginger and coconut-peanut chutney were good but could have used more salt.”
“I took a Togo order of biryani today and taste was not good. Masala to rice ratio is too high. It is full of Masala and not enough rice. Pictures should show you the details. I could not feed my kids directly without removing masala from pieces.”
“I recently ordered the Sambar Idli and Masala Dosa from Golconda Restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience was a complete letdown. The Sambar Idli was unacceptably dry. The idlis had clearly not been soaked properly in sambar, or they had been sitting out long enough to lose all moisture. Sambar idli is supposed to be a comforting, well-saturated dish, but this was tough and unappealing. I wont talk about dos…i felt like i was eating crispy papad Complete dissatisfaction.”
