“We have been several times and each time the service and food gets better and better. This is a great spot for a quiet and cozy Indian meal. Service is super friendly, and the staff always have a smile on their face”

“Had a wonderful experience here today. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The garlic naan was soft and perfectly baked, the curry was rich and aromatic, and the appetizers were delicious with just the right amount of spice. The mango tree leche dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Definitely a place I would return to and recommend to anyone looking for great Indian food.”

“Amazing dinner experience! The butter naan was soft, fresh and perfectly cooked, and the matar paneer was rich, flavorful and delicious. Service was friendly and the atmosphere felt nice and comfortable. Definitely coming back again for another meal. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“we ordered the butter chicken, lamb kadai, and garlic naan. Everything tasted exceptional and fresh. the staff were very kind and accommodating. definitely will be returning asap! a must go to in roscoe village. a hidden gem.”

“The best chicken biryani in town. Their gobi manchurian, samosa and butter chicken were also pretty good. Highly recommend.”

“We visited Dhanteras in Roscoe Village yesterday for lunch to celebrate my brother-in-law’s birthday, and it was such a delightful experience. Our host, Kavya, was incredibly pleasant, kind, and helpful in guiding us through the menu and making thoughtful recommendations. We started with the chili paneer and gobi Manchurian, both of which were absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced in flavor. For the main course, we ordered spicy garlic naan, Dhanteras kofta, and kadai paneer with added vegetables. I can honestly say this was the best kadai paneer and kofta I’ve had anywhere in the Chicagoland area. The flavors were rich, authentic, and clearly made with care. The biryani was phenomenal as well — served in a clay pot sealed with roti, which made the experience feel extra special and traditional. To top it all off, the team surprised us with a mango tres leches cake with a candle for the birthday, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. The chef even came out to meet us at the end, which really added a personal touch and made the meal feel memorable. This has easily become one of my favorite Indian restaurants in Chicago. Truly authentic food, warm hospitality, and a wonderful overall experience. Highly recommend!”

“My brother who lives in Chicago recommend this place and took me and my Indian parents here. Let’s just say we all left with smiles on our faces and full bellies! The flavors were immaculate and the vibes were unmatched! The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. The music was very nice and soothing which was much appreciate after a long drive. The bathroom was also very clean which is ALWAYS appreciated! The chicken 65 and chili gobi were both delicious. The chicken was not gamey at all. It was tender and flavorful. The gobi was fresh and crispy. We also ordered the daal, palak paneer, and chicken tikka. They have spice levels 1-10 and are very true to the levels you have selected. You know it’s good when the parents approve! Lastly, I highly recommend the mango lassi. Very classic Indian mango taste and not at all sour (which I prefer). Overall I’m very happy that we stopped in. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in Chicago again!”

“10/10 ALL AROUNDDDD wanted to throw my glasses and walk away damn near cried at the table. definitely will be back also very friendly staff & amazing service 🫶”

“Every bite was so, so good. The flavors were amazing, especially the tikka masala, biryani, and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and well-seasoned. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend it.”

“WOW, found my go-to Indian spot. The dishes are saucy and rich in flavor and spice, the team is especially compassionate, and the restaurant is VERY clean. We got the garlic naan, butter chicken, and lamb rogan josh. And make SURE you treat yourself to the mango lassi! Excited to come back and try more dishes.”
