Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen
Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen — one of Lincoln Square's strongest indian spots. Nothing about this place is trying to impress you, and that's the point. The flavors don't apologize for being bold, and solid veggie options. Christina Huynh: "The lamb madras was loaded with tender meat in a bold, spicy, deeply flavorful gravy" [$$]

“Delicious food and the kindest people! Sorry for the pic but the camera did not eat first. Paneer tikka masala and veg momo were so good. Also had the mango lassi <3”

“I’m not exaggerating if I say that this is the best restaurant in the area! The is made with love. Everything is perfect. Definitely it will not be my last time. Thank so much for this food experience.”

“Amazing authentic Nepali food in Chicago!! We tried thali, noodles , daal, onion bhaji everything was really good. Jhol momos highly recommend.”

“I ordered the saag chana, and ate it with some garlic/paneer naan and rice. I was extremely excited to order Indian food and I was not at all disappointed! The saag chana was the perfect amount of creaminess with an amazing flavor. The naan and rice complimented it extremely well. Continuously throughout our dinner I told my family members that this was the best meal I've ever had. I am seriously considering ordering the same thing for my birthday dinner. Thank you so much for such a wonderful and tasty experience, Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen :)”

“This is one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood! We ordered the thakali bhojan with lamb, johl momo, and garlic nan which was perfect for two. Everything is always balanced, well spiced, and never greasy. Thank you!”

“Honestly, DELICIOUS! We’ve been searching for a good paneer makani AND vegetarian Indian dishes since we moved from NYC. We just found our new, local favorite. The paneer makani and navaratna korma was so, so yum!”

“This restaurant absolutely delivers through its name, bringing the taste of the Himalayas to Chicago! Every single dish was so fresh and incredibly seasoned with awesome flavor. You must try their Thakali Set and MOMO - you will love it!”

“The goat curry was delicious. I asked them to make it extra spicy and it was hottt.”

“Last time when we went there to eat it was bad experience but now as the management and owner are new they offered excellent hospitality and delicious food.Foods have authentic taste and fresh..All the best to the NEW TEAM..”

“I'll be the first to admit when I walked in and the place was rather empty. I got a bit nervous, but this food was amazing. I have no idea what I really even ate as a lot of the listed items where foods that I later had to look up. The restaurant was clean and the staff there was extremely friendly. The food was also prepared pretty fast.”

“We ordered the jhol chicken momo, lamb madras, pumpkin curry, and garlic naan. Complimentary papad came with great mint and tamarind chutneys. The jhol chicken momos were great. The filling was decent but the wrappers were impressive: thin, chewy yet not mushy, and clearly handmade from the slightly imperfect pleats. These dumplings were served in a flavorful, spicy, tangy broth that tied everything together beautifully. The lamb madras was loaded with tender meat in a bold, spicy, deeply flavorful gravy. The pumpkin curry was complex with layers of warm spices though a bit undersalted. The garlic naan was fantastic: super garlicky, lightly buttery, soft and chewy in some places, nicely charred and crisp in others. Service was attentive and efficient.”
