“We tried Adda for the first time last night and were happy to finally have truly delicious Indian food in Chicago that was spiced the way Indian food is supposed to be, without being oily”
Extremely disappointing. The Bhindi Masala had no taste at all and was completely bland.
Chicken biryani had too much masala, also it was big pieces of chicken tikka instead of regular biryani chicken, not the flavor I was looking for.
My dinner was a watered-down take on murgh vindaloo. The chicken was dry and bland.

“This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in Chicago.”
This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant in Chicago. The food is excellent - real spices are using in preparation and cooking, including bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, and pepper pods in the Biriyani, which give the food excellent spice and rich flavor! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very refined, with dim lighting at night, and is relaxed, moody, cozy, with a welcoming, comforting vibe. I have eaten at Adda several times since moving to Chicago, and find it to be very consistent in quality and delivery of a wonderful experience each time.

“I eat here at least once a month.”
I eat here at least once a month. The food is absolutely amazing and authentic - my favorite dish is the chicken korma. The spices have a depth to them that's not found in many other places I've tried. The prices are fair, and the service is excellent. The staff always goes above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

“Love this place so much.”
Love this place so much. Family style pots make it great for sharing. We order at random from the menu because there is no bad options! Also it’s really nice inside the restaurant.

“An Indian friend told me Adda is the best casual Indian restaurant in Chicago.”
An Indian friend told me Adda is the best casual Indian restaurant in Chicago. After experiencing it, I completely agree. The depth of flavor is greater than other Indian restaurants where I frequently dine. I can tell they use more spices and roast them to deepen their flavors. We especially loved the generous amount of fresh curry leaves in every dish. We ordered “medium” spice level, and it was just right. Nothing is greasy. The service is very hospitable. I highly recommend Adda!

The restaurant was so peaceful and pleasant. The service was excellent, the gentleman were very accommodation, attentive and friendly. The mango lasse was delicious and the mixed grill and chicken, egg, fried rice was also very good! Looking forward to going back and trying the lamb chops!

“I cannot say enough amazing things about our dining experience at Adda.”
I cannot say enough amazing things about our dining experience at Adda! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for an incredible meal. We ordered the Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh, paired with Garlic Naan and Mango Lassis, and every bite was pure perfection. The Butter Chicken was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced—a true indulgence. The Lamb Rogan Josh was a masterpiece: tender, flavorful, and bursting with aromatic spices. The Garlic Naan was fresh, pillowy, and the perfect accompaniment for soaking up all those delicious sauces. And those Mango Lassis? Sweet, refreshing, and the perfect way to balance all the bold flavors. Adda’s attention to detail, from the presentation of the food to the balance of spices, is unmatched. You can taste the love and authenticity in every dish. This place is a gem, and I’ll absolutely be coming back again and again. If you’re looking for an unforgettable Indian dining experience, Adda is it!

“a very lowkey indian restaurant with pretty good food.”
a very lowkey indian restaurant with pretty good food. we had a lunch reservation for 5 people on a sunday and definitely didn’t need it - we were the only party there we tried the vegetable samosa, onion pakora, gobi manchurian, chicken 65, angarey tandoori chicken, garlic naan, dal makhani, boneless chicken biryani, and chicken chettinad. the chicken 65 was my favorite - perfectly flavored with a hint of spiciness. also really enjoyed the gobi manchurian - it was my first time trying it and i was surprised at how much reminded me of chinese food without being a fully chinese dish. garlic naan and dal makhani were also delicious. we asked for medium spiciness on everything but nothing was particularly spicy - definitely very kind to american palettes for how much we paid for all that food, it was fantastic value - under $30 per person including tax/gratuity. note: they automatically include 18% gratuity on the bill

“Made a visit here for a team outing and it did not disappoint.”
Made a visit here for a team outing and it did not disappoint. Flavors were amazing and I could not stop eating that chicken on the sizzling plate. Curries were smooth and dense and the naan was very fresh and flavorful with garlic as well. Would definitely love to visit again and try some of their other dishes.
