Harding Cafe
Harding Cafe — Albany Park brunch & breakfast where the Chilaquiles sets the tone. The decor hasn't changed, and it doesn't need to. Quality product you can taste, and moves fast. Kelsey Johnson: "The berries were fresh, the blueberry sauce was perfectly flavored" [$$]

“A Lovely Experience ~ Clean and Inviting Energy here, Very friendly service, Delicious food with good portions. Would highly recommend. We Had the Chilaquiles Divroeciados and the Huevos Rancheros”

“Excellent Mexican and American breakfasts plus coffee you can't stop drinking. We came here three times over a four day visit to the area.”

“What an absolute delight! Great great breakfast spot. Good coffee, great food. I had the chilaquiles divorciados with chorizo. It was very quiet, very clean. Waitress was quick with a refill and very nice. I’m going to be coming back here more often. Great, great experience.”

“Went here based on the reviews and it did not disappoint. First off, the coffee is with a visit alone, I had too many cups to count. Ordered the breakfast burrito based on photos and it came out literally the same. It's always nice when a place is consistent and lives up to the hype. Not the most "Instagrammy" looking place but the shined where it counted most, the food.”

“I highly recommend the brioche Classic French toast. With the added banana, it was beautifully presented and delicious, too. Service was fast and friendly, and everything came out perfectly. I’d happily return.”

“I absolutely love this cafe! It took everything in me to not lick my plate clean. This was the most decadent French toast I have ever had. The berries were fresh, the blueberry sauce was perfectly flavored, the cheesecake topping was the perfect touch. No syrup necessary. The lovely ladies made me feel at home and the atmosphere is that of an upscale restaurant with jazzy piano covers playing softly over the speaker system. I will be bringing all of my friends and family here.”

“Had a really nice breakfast, good food choices. Nice peaceful atmosphere.”

“I just wanted to drop a quick review for the awesome coffee shop I hit up in Chicago during my marathon trip - super close to my hotel, which was amazing. From the minute I walked in, the staff were totally attentive with the warm greetings - really set a nice vibe. The whole place was spotless and looked sharp, loved the atmosphere. My waitress was fantastic, super attentive, and service was lightning fast, which is perfect when you're fueled before a big run. The coffee was so good - strong, just how I take it, hit the spot big time. And when my food arrived. Delicious and tasty, satisfying, all that good stuff. Overall, had a stellar experience at this coffee shop - definitely a solid pit stop for any marathon runner or coffee lover passing through Chi-Town. Highly recommend!”

“Great spot for authentic breakfast—traditional American or Mexican. It’s immaculately clean, the staff is super friendly, and they make sure to keep you topped up with coffee. The food is incredibly tasty, I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito. Great, reasonable prices as well. 5/5, highly recommend.”

“This was just the most pleasant surprise. Way better than a typical neighborhood diner. It is not a greasy spoon. The atmosphere is pleasant and tasteful. The food! So fresh! So beautiful prepared! Creative and delicious and wholesome. I had the Harding Breakfast Sandwich- real fresh ham off the bone- on French Toast! Delicious. My mom and I split old fashioned oats which was delicious and fresh. My mom had the breakfast burrito with real red skin potato hash, so flavorful. And the salsa was something to write home about. Go here!”

“This cafe is a gem! The food is addictively good. Everyone in the neighborhood is raving. Great service. Great attention to detail and the food is perfection. Seriously so cute. A child sitting behind us ordered pancakes and they came out looking like Mickey Mouse covered in sprinkles. They also have new delicious skillets 🥰”
