This is such a great Thai restaurant for a few reasons: excellent, fresh, flavorful dishes that have pretty nuances like a Hibiscus flower garnish or little carrots cut into flowers

We had a great experience here. We got the Satay, green curry and a couple other things. Everything was great. Fast and efficient service as you would expect. I love that it's a BYOB place with a liquor store right next door, so convenient. We'll be coming back again for sure.

Delicious Papaya salad set! Speaking as a Thai, this is probbaly one of the most authentic Papaya salad set I have in Chicago. Highly recommend!

Green Leaf Thai may be one of the lesser known Thai spots in the city but our recent visit proved that it's worth checking out. As stated on the cover of their menu, the food delivered authentic Thai spice levels. The larb was perfect. It hit every note just right: slightly sweet, addictively tangy, smoky, spicy, and had great crunch from a generous amount of toasted rice. Truly one of the best versions of this dish that I've had. The gai yang (grilled chicken) and papaya salad were solid. The dark meat parts of the chicken were moist and flavorful with nice flavors from the lemongrass. However, the white meat parts were quite bland. The chicken also could have used a bit more char for smokiness. The papaya salad was a bit too sweet for my taste but still had a nice crunch and freshness.

Nice experience at Green Leaf. I ordered the papaya salad and requested it non-spicy since I’m not a fan of spicy food. Though it came with a slight kick, I still really enjoyed it. The waitress was attentive and brought me water right away, which I always appreciate. The food arrived quickly. Overall, a great spot with delicious food and excellent service!

This is unfortunately the second time I’ve Ordered beef as a protein and it’s grey, tough, no flavor.

By far the best Thai food experience! A rare combination of authentic excellent food with a welcoming staff This is not the run of the mill Thai place that offers Asian food with Sushi, Chinese and some basic Thai Highly recommended cannot wait for eating there again!

Went here to meet a party and they let us close out the place! The green curry with tofu was amazing and I wasn't in the mood for overly spicy food and their "mild" was perfect for the mood I was in. Thai iced coffee was good, and my kids even tried new dishes (the fried banana was just ok). The pot stickers are a YES. My daughter loved her chicken and rice dish that was "so good and creamy". We will definitely return (but probably pass on the fried banana.. not bad just.. different).

So delicious. Best tiger cry I’ve ever had, extremely tender and flavorful. Pad ka prow with pork was so perfect. Excellent value and service.
