We were a big group with no reservations, server took great care of all.. everyone was complimenting the food. My triple berry and mascarpone crepes were super delicious, the best I've ever had. 100 per cent recommended.

i love frida’s!! this place is special to me because it’s where my roommate and i had brunch together on the day we first met. we decided to commemorate that by going together every subsequent year. i had the Hobo Hash and it was so good!! such a cute and cozy atmospheric cafe.

We had a great experience at Frida's, it has been my daughter favorite spot for the last four years studying in Evanston, Food is delicious and great service. She forgot a bag for over week and we asked if by any chance was left at the restaurant, and they found it and kept it until she claimed back.

The owners Rosario,Jose,Daniel, staff and management have a wonderful family classic environment. The restaurant is named Frida (deceased Mexican painter, icon)born in Mexican. The restaurant display of several paintings are shown in the location. The restaurant offers healthy options for breakfast and lunch.🥙 . The location is great for graduation(meetings, events)… The American and Mexican options are homemade (classic)wonderful pleasant staff. We visited with Team Attorneys Military,Veterans ,Mediators Consultants,Professors and students and they were pleased. The dining and take-out options are available for local, travelers. We would love specials for military, veterans at this location.

Great food and big portion sizes. Their fresh OJ is great and so are the house potatoes and the chipotle aioli. They have good vegetarian options. Generally great food and wide variety of choices.

Just here for a one-day trip for my sister’s school interview, and we found this cozy, unique, and very affordable place. The food was excellent! especially the banana French toast!

One of the best brunch spots in Evanston! This Mexican-inspired restaurant gets super busy and boisterous, so I recommend reserving a table ahead of time. Every interaction I had with the staff was pleasant, and despite the busyness, they always made sure my needs were attended to. The atmosphere is very lively with classic Latin music playing over the speakers and fun artwork celebrating the restaurant’s namesake, Frida Kahlo. It was hard to choose a single dish with the great variety and numerous recommendations, but I settled on the Crunchy French Toast, which was a spectacular choice! The serving was very large, with four thick slices of brioche bread covered in a granola crust. The plating was gorgeous; the brioche was topped with fresh strawberries, more granola bits, lecherita (a type of sweetened condensed milk), warm raspberry coulis, powdered sugar, and the most velvety whipped cream. It was clear through both the presentation and taste that Frida’s puts plenty of care into their food. The French toast itself was buttery and not too sweet. The granola crust added a wonderful crunch and texture to the soft bread. The whipped cream and strawberries really brought the dish together, adding a creamy chill to the warm toast and natural, fruity sweetness. I will no doubt be returning to try more items on their vast menu. Just observing the other tables’ huge plates inspired my future orders. The pancakes, crepes, and chilaquiles are all highly acclaimed, so it looks like I’ll have to frequent Frida’s for a long time!
