“Nina and Chris, Thank you for a wonderful dinner this week. So many amazing courses. I am still thinking about the coconut-lobster emulsion and the pine bud custard! We look forward to coming back in the near future when you are able to open your back patio. Thank you again and welcome to the neighborhood!”

“I’m a bit disappointed that some of the recent reviewers didn’t post any pictures, so that the rest of the world can get an idea of how the food looks. It doesn’t matter if you write a super wordy post. No pictures can lead to readers losing interest. I’ll attach some pictures so that people can get an idea of the tasting. I came here awhile ago for my birthday. It wasn’t full so the evening was kind of quiet. We just used an Uber to get here. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. Service was amazing. You definitely feel at home, getting ready for a multicourse home-cooked meal. Food was magnificent. Easily in my top 5 favorite Michelin restaurants. Each course seemed to get better and better. It’s hard to choose a favorite as I loved each dish. It’s $175 without taxes and tip for the tasting. That’s without a wine pairing. Yes, that’s per person. Highly recommended. I hope my pictures give you some sort of idea of what to expect.”

“Found a quick reservation at the last minute because of a cancellation. Glad we did. Chris is an amazing chef. The food was fantastic. It is a long dinner (over 3 hours). The reason is the attention to detail. Chris makes every meal, all 10 courses, for every customer himself. No sous chef, no dishwasher, just his wife Nina and server Natalia working the front of the house. After dinner we had the pleasure to meet Chris in the kitchen. It had to be the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen. Again, a testament to the dedication to his craft. We will be back when the menu switches this Spring. Make sure to purchase your wine from the Goosefoot Market even though the restaurant is BYOB. The wines pair wonderfully and are fairly priced given that you don't have to pay corkage if purchased from the market. Enjoy! UPDATE Visited again this past week after a few year hiatus. Covid got in the way! Love this place. Nina and Chris are great. Love BYOB. Where else in the city can you get this quality of food and bring bottles from your personal cellar for such a small corkage fee. My only negative is that some of the courses were the same from our visit previously. I assumed they would be all new menu items. In any event the food was outstanding and the service was excellent.”

“Such a great place to enjoy some whimsical, unique, and DELICIOUS dishes. The presentation shows so much character, and I really appreciated that the waitress broke down every dish as well as how to consume it. That helps for sure when something should be handheld or not! There were also several small dishes for the pre-fixe so we left absolutely stuffed! You truly get your money's worth and then some. Nina made sure to get the details of our celebration prior to our visit to wish us a happy 10th anniversary as we walked in. She was also a delight to talk to and truly created something special with Goosefoot!”

“We had an amazing dinner at Goosefoot. Nina and the staff were fantastic, warm and welcoming. The food was impeccable, delicious and gorgeously presented. The music was fun and playful and the atmosphere was convivial and inviting. We will certainly be back to celebrate with them again!”

“Excellent experience! We celebrated our anniversary at Goosefoot which exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and service was very personal and exceptional! I would recommend and would come back when I’m in Chicago.”

“Absolutely exceptional meal, wine pairing, and service. Their Michelin star and AAA-4 Diamond ratings are well deserved. We had always wanted to try Goosefoot and am glad we did celebrating our anniversary with them. The tasting menu was beyond delicious… Foie gras tart, truffle foam summer soup, perfectly cooked duck and diver scallops. And the service from Natalia and Nina was 5-stars. I very highly recommend you try them!!”

“Wonderful experience. I felt so well taken care of from the moment we stepped in the door.”

“Worth it! It really was a personalized culinary experience where every single dish was mind blowing. It also felt approachable. Nina was kind, welcoming, and attentive. I am already wanting to come back to Chicago to visit again.”

“Our dinner at Goosefoot was really lovely! Every dish was a hit and we thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic flavors! Beside the great food, I loved how the restaurant operates as a BYOB with the option to purchase wine directly from them. We opted to purchase wine in advance and it was perfectly chilled and waiting for us once we arrived at the restaurant. Nina made it so easy for us to just sit back and enjoy our meal with our wine! I especially appreciated that the restaurant is still following COVID protocols. Personally, I really loved that there was a divider between each table; it's great for heath purposes but also offers a level of privacy that is really nice as well. Overall, this is a great spot to dine at in Chicago and I highly recommend!”

“Wonderful experience, treat yourself to this delightful journey. Every course tastes as amazing as it looks.”

“Thank you Chris & Nina for a lovely dinner experience! Each course was excellent, well-paced, and exquisitely presented ... a perfect blend of art & cuisine at its best. Leisurely dining that allows you to savor each course and prepare for the next. We were seated at 8pm and didn't finish until after 11pm ... as expected for a 9+ course meal. Highly recommend purchasing wine pairings from their market/wine shop. They will wrap up any unfinished bottles to take home with you. Intimate dining experience with a personal touch. Nina shared stories from her trip to our home state of Virginia and we look forward to returning to Goosefoot the next time we're in Chicago. Loved the Woodstock '69 theme and history discussion. Much love to this power couple and their vision for fine dining!”
