“I love this taco truck! The people who run it are so sweet. The man is the cashier and the woman is the chef. I came here for the first time while at UChicago last week. I had a craving for enchiladas. I noticed they have an enchilada plate for $11, but I wasn’t hungry enough for a plate and I wanted to taste one before committing to a whole plate. I asked the gentleman if I could order just one; he asked the chef, and she obliged for $3. I asked if they preferred verde or roja and the man said green. Then the chef asked if I wanted chicken or just cheese, and I replied just cheese. They do take credit cards and you can put a tip on the machine, as long as you let them know ahead of time. When I received my enchilada, it looked and smelled great. I was surprised that some of the cheese wasn’t fully melted, but regardless, it tasted delicious. I was going to go back and order more, but by that time they developed a line, so I just walked up and told them thank you and that it was delicious. I was surprised to find out they didn’t have a yelp or a google location, so I added those. Fast forward to today, I went by and ordered two enchiladas a la carte for $6 (this is not on the menu, so it may not always be offered or obliged). I was great full they accommodated my request again. This time, he charged me but pressed some button that cleared out my order so I couldn’t tip them. I asked which days they were at Uchicago and I believe he said weekdays until 3pm. I forgot to ask when they arrive, but last week I ordered around 11, so I know they are there by around that time. Again, the enchiladas were yummy! The cheese was melted and the sauce was flavorful with a bit of spice! Overall, I highly recommend this taco truck! I know, I need to branch out and order some actual tacos, but I love the enchiladas!”
“We ordered the tacos Al pastor and the steak burrito. It was an easy ordering process, amazing food.”
“Stop at the food truck whilst I was in Chicago on business… FANTASTIC Taco Birria’s !! Service was quick considering it was lunch time at UIC. Definitely going to “Favorite” this food truck!!”
“Best Birria and Al Pastor tacos I’ve ever had. Meats are seasoned and cooked perfectly. The corn tortillas have a nice clean taste with good texture. Enjoy this place before some TV show discovers them and the lines get unbearable!”
“I was on UChicago campus for a week and stopped at this taco truck one day for some chicken street tacos. I have to say I'm going to have a hard time not going back each day for the remainder of my trip. Tacos were perfect, good quality toppings, good quality chicken (not all the left over pieces), great service and oh, yummy hot sauces!”
“Good, fresh, & tasty food. The service is always quick & friendly. I like that they make the guacamole fresh to order. The enchiladas are also good. They're my go to food truck when on the UofC campus.”
