“The Mahi Mahi tacos were so good! Definitely coming back.”

“Love this place. Will be back! The ceviche and chips are amazing, paired with a michelada, tequila, and yummy tacos. Great staff and cozy seating. Outside patio and a fun atmosphere. Love the vibe and music.”

“The best tacos I've had in Chicago! The chips + guac + salsa were also the best I've had. Super friendly staff, reasonably priced. All around great experience!”

“The Al Pastor tacos were some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Nadia and her staff were incredibly hospitable and the outdoor patio is a cute welcoming place to eat some really good food.”

“Yum, yum, yum! I finally went to Don Pez with a friend who wouldn’t stop raving about their tacos—and wow, they did not disappoint. I was expecting just a typical fish taco, but the reality? Hands down the best fish tacos I’ve ever had! The variety of options is impressive, the hospitality is warm, and the ambiance is charming—plus, they have adorable outdoor seating. Now, back to the tacos: the mahi tacos, coconut shrimp tacos, and swordfish tacos are absolute must-tries. Fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. Highly recommend! 🌮✨”

“I went to Don Pez in Lincoln Park and overall it was an okay experience. Our server Payton was nice, and when I asked her what she liked, she gave me a few suggestions. I ordered the Baja Mahi, which was okay, but nothing to brag about. I probably should have taken Payton’s advice and tried the coconut shrimp. I also ordered the grilled Mahi, which I liked better, but the rice was not really to my liking. My friend ordered the fish sandwich, and she said it was good. I tried both salsas, but I didn’t care too much for them. Nevertheless, the food was okay, the service was decent, and the atmosphere was comforting. The space is small, but cute. I did like that they use mahi-mahi and halibut instead of tilapia, because in my experience eating fish tacos, those are better-quality fish. The prices were a little high, but I do understand that mahi-mahi and halibut are more expensive fish. Still, for the overall quality of the food, I felt it was a little overpriced. It was an experience, but I don’t think it was anything I would rush back for.”

“Unfortunately I really didn’t like the food here. It’s expensive and the cheese for the Nachos is canned cheese. The quesabirria just tasted like oil. Somehow for 2 drinks and this food the total amounted to over 90 dollars (with tip). Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing”

“I received a delivery order from Don Pez Fish Tacos and spent $50.76 on two tacos and an order of veggie nachos. The description of the veggies nachos is BEANS, cheese, guacamole, pico, crema and jalapeños (normal toppings). I received chips and cheese with large pieces of cauliflower all over it. The nachos had the smallest portion of guacamole on them and it was flavorless and unripe. I paid $19.50 for these nachos. The tacos were also very bland and the fish taco was mushy. I ordered flour tortillas for both tacos and only got one with a flour tortilla (corn for the other despite its description stating it comes with a flour tortilla by default). I called the store and the woman seemed quite confused about the cauliflower then said that’s on their menu (it’s not). The woman kept referring to the cauliflower as cabbage and seemed annoyed/confused as to why I was so taken aback by cauliflower being all over nachos. Cauliflower is not a typical nacho topping nor is it a good one, and the woman continued to say that cabbage goes on their nachos then told me that there was nothing she could do as I ordered it through DoorDash (there isn't a menu for this restaurant on their website). Despite having pictures of what I received and what this restaurant's description of the nachos is, DoorDash also refused to provide me with a refund (unclear why). Against my better judgement, I ordered from here after having a prior negative experience with this restaurant; I will not be eating here again. This was such a disappointing experience and to spend over $50 on it is so frustrating. Beware when ordering from here. It is completely overpriced and not at all worth the money.”
“Stopped in for a quick lunch while shopping and had some of the best carne asada tacos of my life. Nadia was extremely friendly and a lovely host. Will be back for happy hour!”
“Obsessed with this place!! The staff was so sweet, and the food was amazing. Drinks also soooo good I’ll 100% be coming back”
“Amazing service❤️amazing tacos😋 …. New frozen Huckleberry Tito’s so refreshing.”
“Everyone who knows me knows I love my tacos! These were definitely one for the books! So much flavor in every bite. I had swordfish tacos for the first time in my life and I’ll definitely order again! I’m not about trying new foods but I just had too! I also had my all time go to just incase lol.. the Al pastor tacos were very scrumptious! My friends and I definitely had a great time and left full! Thank you Don Pez! We definitely will be back for round 2!”
