My honest opinion. I ordered the 5 piece wing meal w Mac & greens. As well as the strawberry cheesecake egg rolls.
I got the Cajun catfish bites which was good my boyfriend got the smothered chicken and the chicken was not done it was all pink, my boyfriend switched his plate to the Cajun catfish and he offered to give him half off and a free dessert for both of us, we had the option of getting banana pudding or sweet potato cheese cake.
I really wanted to like this restaurant, but when I pulled up and saw no one in the restaurant except the cook I knew that was a bad sign.

If you want delicious, affordable, soul food with a home cooked meal feel, Queen K’s is the place to be. I was feeling homesick, so I went to Queen K’s for Christmas dinner to get the food I love this time of year. The chef was very friendly and the food was amazing! I l left feeling happier than when I first arrived. The fried chicken combo was so good. Chicken was delightful, green and Mac n cheese were great! We also got a side of candied yams, and those were the best yams I’ve had in a long time. 10/10. My meal was mostly quiet because my fiancé, her sister, and I were too busy enjoying the food to talk. Thank you Queen K’s. You gave me a small pice of home back yesterday and I really appreciate that.

Came in tonight for the first time after driving by many times. Although I tried to look at a menu online ahead of time, I was surprised that there were even more options listed inside the restaurant. They took the time to go over the options and give their recommendations. Although I thought I knew what I wanted when I arrived, I decided on the buffalo BBQ wings, the loaded steak fries, and an order of the fried okra. There were so many good options I wanted to try a few! Ended with the strawberry cheesecake egg rolls for dessert. If I wasn’t headed out for a movie, I would have had the Cajun catfish with Mac & Cheese and greens - then a nap! Will be back for sure. Clean restaurant, pleasant staff, yummy food - very thankful to have Queen K’s Kitchen in RP.

Its so hard to find restaurants that caters to my nephews allergies but when we found this spot to celebrate his bday we left full and very happy! The owner/chef is all alone in the kitchen and there were about 8 of us but we didn’t have to wait a long time. Kudos to him for being a one man team! The food was amazing! The chicken wings reminded us of the chicken wings that we had back home in the Philippines. The side of Gumbo is so good too, we couldn’t get enough. Cornbread was addicting. And the desserts too. The strawberry cheesecake eggroll was great and my nephew was able to enjoy the banana pudding because it was allergen free which made my nephew very happy because we’re so used to restaurants telling us that most of their desserts are not allergy safe but this restaurant really made sure that his food was safe but still delicious. It was my nephew’s first time having soul food and he loved it so we’ll definitely be back again!

Let me tell you. It was amazing. The location had us confused , but walk in. Please order. I got the wings, Mac and greens. I wish I had two. The banana pudding - whoooooooooooo a super bomb. The cheesecake eggroll if you don’t buy them you’ll regret it. Order you will not regret this hidden gem. And the owner. I love her. First time meeting her and I felt like her family. Mind you. We came from an hour away. (Waukegan)

I’m from Louisiana and I miss good soul food. I’ve finally found this spot and I can say it’s the best soul food in Chicago. Everything was seasoned well and priced right! We will be regulars!

Visiting from Texas. The owner was extremely nice. My food was hot. Chicken tasted fresh and crispy. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the mac and cheese. But the greens and corn bread were delicious. Yams could have been a bit more sweeter… overall very good experience

Very good food from and for the soul! Soul food. Had delicious collard greens, catfish nuggets, cornbread, yams. Mac and cheese could use a little more seasoning. Overall, tasty and Very enjoyable!

I've heard great things about the food here. Their customer service is amazing. The guy who took my order explained all the options available that are vegetarian friendly. I was pleased with my take home order. The food was very tasty and not overly seasoned. The portion size was perfect. I will definitely be returning
