Our first visit to Petit Pomeroy was absolutely outstanding, and we will definitely be back. The food was fantastic across the board. The tomato tarte was out of this world and an absolute must-order. The mussels were perfectly cooked, the frisée salad was spot-on, and the short rib bourguignon was rich, comforting, and executed flawlessly. To finish, the crème brûlée was another clear hit. Add to that a great cocktail program and a strong wine selection, and the menu truly shines. Service elevated the entire experience. Paige, the hostess, couldn’t have been more friendly, professional, or energetic—she set the tone immediately. Paul, our server, was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm throughout the meal. From food to drinks to service, the entire experience was completely on point. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable, high-quality dining experience.

I cannot begin to say enough incredible things about the team behind Petit Pomeroy. We had a reservation during prime time Saturday night, and unlike most restaurants, we were seated immediately without a wait. Our server, Blue, was prompt with greeting us, bringing our round of drinks, and explaining the menu. We started with a baguette, which, honestly, I could have just eaten five of for dinner. Hot out of the oven and incredibly delicious. We shared the steak frites with bordelaise and the steak diane. I’m typically of the opinion that I can buy a $25 steak and cook it at home better than most restaurants, but damn, the chef here has the touch. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection, tender, and served with the most beautiful sauces I’ve had at a restaurant in ages. I almost wanted to take some of both sauces home as soup. We finished with the apple tart and ice cream. This thing was still crackling when you cut it. Somehow, drenched in caramel and ice cream, this tart was still flaky; pure magic. Blue was attentive, helpful, and personable. The staff we interacted with in between were also great. The atmosphere was perfect, cozy and refined, and the ideal volume for a pleasant table conversation. We cannot wait to be back for more.

This is my favorite French restaurant in Chicago. The lobster risotto is spectacular with a deep seafood flavor, creamy texture and chunks of lobster in every bite. It’s divine. Everything we had from the steak tartare to the apple tart was on point and they made my birthday feel special.

The most fabulous French restaurant all over U.S. Visiting from CA and I was very surprised of how authentic the foods are. Literally it feels like I am in Paris. Highly recommend their escargots and onion soup. One of the best escargots I’ve ever tried including from Paris. The service was top of the line too. Very courteous and accommodating. Thank you for the great experience.

I visited Petit Pomeroy for a solo dinner in early July of this year. It was on my mind all summer and even now, I find myself wishing we had one on the East Coast. Chris was my server and he provided an excellent dining experience. He knew the menu, checked in at appropriate times, and was clearly very experienced in fine dining. His service alone would be enough for me to come back on my next trip to Chicago. Overall the food was delicious and I've listed details below. TUNA TARTARE NIÇOISE: Haricot Verts, Cured Egg Yolk, Potato Gaufrettes 10/10 - Texture pairing was PHENOMENAL. The crisps are sooo thin, they basically crunch and melt when you eat them. Sauces were delicious, scraped the plate. MACARONI AU GRATIN: 10/10 - Gruyere was excellent, the cheese pull was beautiful and every single bite had a rich slightly nutty flavor. Bœuf Bourguignon Braised Short Rib, Pommes Purées, Root Vegetables, Red Wine Jus 8.5/10 - Beautifully plated and cooked to perfection in terms of texture. The meat tasted slightly undersalted, jus felt a bit light on the tongue, and I would've liked more puree. LA BELLE COCKTAIL: Gin, Braulio, Cranberry Jam, Lime 10/10 - Sharp then sweet like sour patch candy. I was genuinely sad that I finished it so quickly. APPLE TARTE TARTIN Puff Pastry, Caramel Apples, French Vanilla Gelato 10/10 - Puff pastry layers were such a great match for the apples. The caramelized top reminded me of old school pineapple upside cake in the best way. Homemade gelato was very balanced and had a perfectly creamy texture. I could eat this every day, wow.

My family and I had such a wonderful dining experience! The French onion soup was easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted . It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our server, Blue, truly elevated the evening. He struck the perfect balance of being attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and he checked in just the right amount to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. His warm, thoughtful service really made the meal memorable.

Such an amazing food experience! The restaurant was so cozy and calm. The waitress was super nice! Ordered the three course menu that was available from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm. It was phenomenal! Highly recommended for your special date night and celebrations!

Classic French cuisine at its best. From a simple baguette and butter to the lobster risotto. Everything was chefs kiss. Cocktails are top notch and dessert just took it over the top. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes. P.S. if you are at the bar makes sure Christiana hooks you up. She is top notch!
