We Had An Amazing Time at LimaMar Restaurant & Cocktail Bar!! 🙌🙌 We Started Out with Some Creative Delicious Drinks!! 🍹🍸🧉 Those Shock the Monkeys Really Got Us Going!! 🤣😂😂 Then Enjoyed Great Conversation Over Delicious Authentic Peruvian Food. 😋😋 Each Beautiful Presentation Topped the Next!! 😍😍 We Even Learned a Little Peru History from the Owner. 🇵🇪😉 I Am Soo Happy We Made it in!! We Will Definately Do This Again!! 🥰🥰 (Hopefully Before They Close on April 30th. 😢😢)

Pros: unique restaurant with amazing food and drinks. The owners are friendly and attentive. It is cozy and charming. You can find something for any palette. Cons: Chicago prices, and you will need at least one appetizer for that satisfaction of feeling you've had enough to eat. Price for 3 drinks, 2 appetizer, and 2 entrees was $200.

It was the first time my husband and I went to this restaurant and I'm in love. Everything was delicious, atmosphere was perfect and the owners are so friendly and amazing. I can honestly say it's my favorite spot in town. If you haven't been here you are missing out. We are definitely coming back.

Ok, we came in from out of town to check this place out and were blown away with everything. I enjoy the traditional ceviche and a couple non-alcoholic cocktails which were so delicious. If you are looking for something different and delicious I would definitely come here.

“Nice small dowtown eatery.”

Nice small dowtown eatery. Was blown away by the food. Peruvian recipes and drinks that are top notch. Restaurant is a family business run by husband the mixologist and wife the chef. The atmosphere was modern and the food was delicious! My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the portions are quite small. The presentations were beautiful, but this is not hungryman fare. I get it. It's upscale and it's international. I had the Lomo Saltado, and it was 5 stars! My wife had the Fiji Salmon. Same 5 stars. I was told the menu changes every two weeks, so check it out regularly. Bottom line: looking for something deliciously different, you should try this. I'll be checking the menu options every couple of weeks. Next time, I'll add an appetizer.

“This place is amazing.”

This place is amazing. From the food to the drinks a fantastic experience. The perfect Pisco sour is an all time favorite and their entrees (the ones that we have had) are outstanding. My wife and I’s new favorite spot. The ceviche is a dish I now dream of in my sleep. The service can be a little slower when busy but everything is well worth the wait. I look forward to more Pisco sours and authentic Peruvian food.

First time having Peruvian food and it was awesome! The place is small so reservations are recommended, especially if you want to go at peak times. The food was excellent and service attentive. We were there before Halloween, so they had several interesting drink concoctions.

Tried Lima Mar before heading to a comedy show. Unfortunately, we were in a bit of a rush, so we didn't get to try any appetizers. My boyfriend ordered the beef anticuchero, and I ordered the limamar pasta. Both were delectable. The beef was melt in your mouth tender. My shrimp and scallop were perfect, and the sauce in the pasta wasn't overbearing. Nice portions as well, didn't feel glutinous after finishing but left satisfyingly full. I also had a cocktail. I can't remember the name, but it was Peruvian grape bourbon drink with blueberries and something else... that was dangerously good. Because it was a beautiful day out, we ate outside. The inside of the restaurant was decorated beautifully.

“Seafood lover’s dream.”

Seafood lover’s dream! Always enjoy supporting restaurants like this. Owners are husband and wife and are making delicious food unlike anything in downtown Rockford. Even the cocktails are hand crafted and original. Beer and wine are also imported directly from Peru. They say you eat with your eyes first and I can tell you the dishes at LimaMar are beautiful. Chef also designed the interior of the restaurant. They’ve been open since 2019 and we regret not coming here sooner!
