“La Palma Express is a hidden gem in Chicago, owned by someone who truly pours her heart and soul into every dish. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported back to your childhood, with the comforting aromas of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The food is simply delicious, capturing the flavors and traditions that make Puerto Rican food so special. We never walks out of her restaurant unsatisfied—each bite is a taste of home. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time, the love and care she puts into every meal will keep you coming back.”

“Great atmosphere, Antonia is amazing! Service was fast! PR vibes are very welcoming. Food was very tasty! Yet to try more of the menu.”

“If you are looking for Authentic and Fresh Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 food this is the place. They have home cooking and do not waver from it. They want to make sure you have the best quality as possible. I have never had a bad experience and enjoy the every meal I have had. The steak sandwiches/Jibalitos melt in your mouth and don't forget about the Lechon and rice ALCAPURRIAS are great! Also the sorullos are so good just to name a few!! Give it a try you won't be disappointed!! On Nov 13 had the Jibalito and it was busting with meat and so so good.”

“Just had lunch at La Palma Express on grand by the bus depot, TAN SABROSO!! Everything was made fresh and fast. Loved my pasteles dinner and lechón/bistec jibarito. Owner & Chef made us a new appetizer of a flavor bomb accapurria stuffed with juicy Lechon and fluffy rice. Staff was so friendly and helpful with the menu. We are definitely customers for life now”

“I literally saw the lady refry and acapuria four times!! Maria capuria was black and she still sold it to me and when I asked her can I get a fresh one she replied armasa is made from scratch it's fresh we just refried and over and over but it's still good!!! So I took her word for it and bought it anyways and when I took a bite out of the first one well just look at the picture and you know what I thought about it!!!!”
“I catered food for my sister's surprise Birthday party and ordered arroz con gandules, lechon and escabeche. It was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed.”
“I went there with my husband today 3/08/2025 and the food was so delicious. The pasteles were phenomenal. I will be coming here more often. Antonia and her beautiful Mother really put so much love into their cooking that everything is delicious. You feel like you are at home when you are at their restaurant 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷”
“Absolutely delicious!!! Everything tastes great. La Palma is further away from me than Jibaritos on Harlem but the drive is worth it. This is my new "go to" spot. Give it a try and see for yourself. I'm sure you will be a returning customer as well.”
