Kruthika Spice Kitchen
Kruthika Spice Kitchen — neighborhood food in South Loop. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too. Flavors stay true to the source. "The lamb was perfectly spiced, crispy on the outside" — Dinesh jannipagu [$$]

“"From the appetizers to dessert, Kruthika spice exceeded my expectations in every way." Especially I love their mutton fry with lemon rice, butter podi idly and a lot😉 Good job guys keep provide the best flavor of Indian food 🥘”

“I tried the Bagara and Chicken Curry, and it was out of this world! The chicken was so tender, and the curry had just the right amount of spice -so flavorful and unique. This place is Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine. I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes from your menu. 5 stars !!”

“Fantastic food I’ve had after a year very homely and good quality food served here I definitely recommend to everyone”

“This is not a dine in restaurant. This is not a restaurant open until 12 am on Saturdays. I scheduled my food order, five gulab jamuns, on their preferred website, DoorDash, for pickup at 7:10 pm. I came to the address and find that it is essentially an UberEats pickup station for multiple restaurants. I get notified that my order is ready at 7:28 pm, but there’s no way to collect my order to scan. I try contacting the restaurant via one of the tablets there with no response. I try calling the phone number associated with the restaurant and it goes straight to voicemail. There are no staffers anywhere. I end up catching a guy coming out of the staff area and another customer also asks for his help with Kruthika. He goes back and checks with the staff and says that none of the kitchens know about Kruthika and it seems like they weren’t here today. However, apparently they had been in sometime this week. There’s no option to dispute the order and get a refund, so I’m going to have to call the bank to file a chargeback. This sucked, I had planned to order these treats for a birthday party and had to scramble to make other plans at the last minute.”

“Ordered Egg Curry after seeing the positive reviews but had a very disappointing experience. I even called the restaurant requesting to use very little oil and they confirmed. As shown in the image, what we got in the curry was a thick layer of red oil just floating. Never have I seen so much oil in any dish, despite a request.”

“Haded lamb biryani Bad experience poor quality food uncooked meat.Constipation started within 2 hours. Please avoid this restaurant dont know how are people ordering food from this restaurant. Look at that dish yack not worth also for that price”
“Ordered the Special Chicken Biryani and it was perfect! I've found it hard to find authentic/home cooked taste in Chicago - but this place truly delivers. The food is spicy, so be ready for that. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the biryani rice was super flavorful. My only feedback, was there was a bit too much oil. Outside of that, this would be my go to place from now on as long as standards are maintained!”
“We had a really great experience ordering party catering! We served idli, vada, and pongal with sambar and chutney to a diverse group of guests. The South Indians present said the food was amazing and extremely authentic, and the people new to South Indian food had a great first experience with the cuisine! Prices were super reasonable as well and Jerry was great to work with and accommodating of our dietary restrictions. We will definitely be adding this to our rotation!”
“Please try there idly and chicken curry. Biryani is flavorful”
“Restaurant is part of southloop kitchen group. Only take away and no dine in option. It was bit of disappointment but food quality and taste is wonderful. Very authentic Andhra cuisine. I personally recommend chicken pepper 65 and Special chicken biriyani”
