“First two weeks of April you must come to see the cherry blossoms in bloom. Japanese garden isn't fully on due to weather and new construction. Stay on path or you'll get into trouble.”

“Ya no me tocó la floracion completa, solo un árbol pero muy bonito de cualquier manera vale la pena visitar”

“This is a beautiful garden, and it's nice to see a little piece of the 1893 Worlds Fair. You can't access it from the Jackson Park parking lot, the bridge is permanently closed. If you park there you have to walk around the southern rim of the Griffin Museum; follow signs for the Lagoon Path.”

“The Osaka Garden is a historical and cultural landmark, a hidden gem in the city of Chicago. Originally a part of Japan’s exhibit for the 1893 World’s Fair, Japan gifted the garden to Chicago in an act of friendship and to showcase Japanese artistry and craftsmanship. Over the years, the garden has seen many renovations. The garden is intentionally designed as a Buddhist stroll garden and requires a ton of upkeep and maintenance. Visitors should remember to respect and revere the intentionality of the space by staying off the grass and limiting all social gatherings. This garden is meant to be relaxing and invoke peace, not a social gatherings place.”

“Ptzepiekne miejsce gdzie i e można spędzić caly dzień z rodzina. Ogród zadbany, super zaprojektowany. Można siąść, coś wypić i zjesc.”

“We enjoyed ourselves our first time coming to the Japanese Garden and part taking of the Cherry blossoms 🌸 trees. Weather was perfect not to hot, nor to windy. Staff were friendly and polite at the Garden. Not sure if they have night lights at dark, but would be a bit interesting to see how it would light up at night time.”

“The Japanese Garden is such a beautiful and tranquil place. There was actually a bride and groom taking pictures the day we were there. My only issue is the parking. We parked at the Museum of Science and Industry South Lot. Then walked around the perimeter of the building and behind the Obama library. That was such a long walk. Walking to the Japanese Garden and back to my SUV was a total of 6500 steps. A parking map with easy assess to the Garden is DEFINITELY needed. If we had that assess I would give five stars.”
