“Was out celebrating Juneteenth weekend and wanted to celebrate by visiting black-owned restaurants. This establishment has the same ownership as Virtue Restaurant. So I wanted to give it a try. The atmosphere is pretty chill; this is the type of place you come to when you want to get to know one another, without all the distractions. I started out with the Jalisco Treasure Cocktail; it had some smokiness to it. Reminded me of a spicy margarita but not too spicy. I didn’t have much of an appetite because I just left dinner. Settled on the Chicken Tinga Tostada. I was satisfied. My last drink for the night was the Daiquiri Tropical. It was cool.”
“I love a good cocktail bar, and this spot definitely delivers. I am already a fan of Erick Williams restaurants, so I was excited to check this one out, especially after learning it focuses on tequila and mezcal, which are my favorites. It is also conveniently located on the same block as two of his other spots. I have been twice now and had a great experience each time. I am especially glad they did away with the reservation deposit. It makes planning a visit much easier. Most recently, I stopped by for their all day Sunday happy hour, which was a great vibe. They have expanded the food menu since my first visit, and everything I tried was solid. The empanada was my favorite, the quesabirria was really good, and the chicken torta was delicious. On my first visit, I only had the guacamole, which I also enjoyed. The decor is beautiful and intimate, creating a great atmosphere, and the music is always on point. The staff has been friendly and welcoming every time I have gone. This place is definitely staying in my regular rotation.”
“What a nice location for drinks with friends, a date night, or just to drink to talk to the bartenders. I loved all the drinks and with my two other friends we basically drank the whole menu. My favorite was the Daydreamer a must try and loved the aguachiles. I would definitely recommend this place next time you want to get out on the town. It’s so cozy for this time of the year and the tamale will warm you right up.”

“Yo!!!! The food, the drinks, the vibe, the staff, the music!!! We were visiting from KY and have been talking about it ever since. We had the best lamb and empanadas. You can tell that every choice made in this restaurant was thought through with great intention. Cant wait to go back!!! If you're a foodie, go! “The food was really good I love how spicy the tamales were. The only issue is there were little moth type bugs that were flying around the table and of course one flew right into my plate. They replaced it with no problem but I feel like because it was dark in there maybe they kept coming to the light at our table (we were the first table by the door). But the drinks were good the food was good, and it was a black male server there that came over to give a compliment to the black women at the table which was a nice touch.”
