Great food, quick, super friendly service! Manager checked in on us twice, multiple staff members came by to see how everything was going. Crazy good service for an order at the counter, seat yourself like place. Would definitely come back again. Easy 5 minute walk from The Wade hotel, right around the corner. My daughter loved the pizza. Nice chewy, crisp crust, good sauce, can't tell you about the toppings tho, she's 7 ... But there was lots of cheese. 😂. Italian Beefs were super flavorful. They have 4 levels of dip, I chose 3 (dunked, I believe), and I like mine wet, not falling apart...I would go 4 (baptized 😇) next time, but it was still a great sandwich!

Very helpful staff. Great selections. The Italian Beef sandwich was great--just as advertised. Salads and fries were just as great. The food was ready quickly. Dining room is large and can accommodate a lot of different sizes of groups. Not very wheelchair friendly if you're by yourself.

Buona in Chicago is an excellent spot for a casual yet high-quality meal. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The restaurant is well-maintained, and the staff makes sure everything is clean and organized, creating a comfortable and secure dining experience. The service was outstanding, but the real star of our visit was Maria, the lady who was cleaning the tables. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome, checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Her kindness and attention to detail made our experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about guests the way she does. If you’re looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, Buona is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!

So happy they rolled out with an inclusive menu and offer their version of a Chicago vegan beef. We visited this location on a Monday and it was packed with locals from various businesses for their lunch breaks. As a tourist seeing any restaurant busy on a Monday afternoon is a sign this food is about to slap. The service was fast. The bread was soft and doughy on the inside but crunchy on the outside. The filing to meat ratio was perfect. No matter your diet preference, this is the spot to eat.

Excellent Chicago-style Dog! Staff was nice and food came out fast! We had a free beef sandwich from the white Sox game bc juicy beef won the race. First time having Chicago style dog and it was amazing! Wanted to try Portillos but didn’t want to wait in long lines/crowds per online reviews. Reviews say Buona has better dogs also. Fresh made flavored lemonade was so good! Chargers to charge phones / laptops Buona has Self ordering kiosks to decrease lines

Stopped here for a quick lunch after exploring the Navy Pier. We ordered the 10 inch Italian Beef with cheese and mild Giardiniera. We also also a Chicago styled hot dog. Both were really good, the Hot Dog had a nice poppy seed bun and the Giardiniera paired well with the Italian Beef.

Ate here multiple times during my week stay in Chicago and every time the staff was very friendly. Quick service, clean establishment, and consistently good food. Gluten free options available, I was very happy to be able to enjoy Italian beef with a gluten free bun.
