⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely delicious! Bawarchi on Devon never disappoints. The Bagara Khana was perfectly cooked—fragrant, flavorful, and light, pairing beautifully with the rich and hearty Dalcha. The combination tasted just like authentic Hyderabadi home cooking. The spices were well balanced, not too heavy, and the aroma was mouthwatering from the very first bite. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the service was quick even though the place was busy. The restaurant has a simple, homely vibe, which makes the food shine even more. If you’re looking for real Hyderabadi flavors in Chicago, this is the place to go. Highly recommend trying their Bagara Khana with Dalcha—you’ll love it!

The mix combo platter $13.99 sounds absolutely delightful. It's wonderful to get the same flavors, chutney's & sambhar from hyderabad which were so enjoyable and authentic. Such a meal can truly transport one's senses to another place. Experiences like these are always worth savoring.

Hidden gem on Devon. the dosas are crisp and golden, the idlis are cloud-soft, and the vadas are crispy yet airy. freshly ground chutneys,Mysore bondas were crispy and yummy. The service was great. Has Hyderabadi taste to it. The sambar was authentic!! A must visit The desserts were amazing. Sheerkurma and halwa!!! Chai was top notch. And the restaurant is tidy and neat. From the welcoming ambiance to the authentic flavors, this restaurant is a true gem. It’s a place where every bite transports you to the heart of South India, making you crave for more with every visit!

had a fantastic dining experience at Bawarchi. The mutton biryani, yellow dal, and roti were all incredibly flavorful and delicious. The food truly tasted amazing. Additionally, the paan was a delightful end to the meal. The service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly. The prices are super cheap, making it great value for the quality of the food. However, I did notice that the interior could use some cleaning. Despite that, the overall experience was wonderful. It's also worth mentioning that Bawarchi is open late, which is perfect for late-night cravings. I visited around 3 am, and the quality of the food and service was just as good as during regular hours.

“Very disappointing experience.”

Very disappointing experience. Normally living in the suburbs over an hour away, we came to the city for some business and stopped by to get some Dosa for carry out. Came home and found this. What a shame. They charge $10 for this nonsense. The average person would not feel full eating this. I'm sure because this was a carry out order, they felt like they didn't need to give proper portions. We ordered 3 total masal Dosa. And it only came with one sambar and chutney for all 3. Again, seriously disappointing for the customer who buys this to eat when they're hungry and expect a decent meal for their money. And even more disappointing for the business that this is their approach. Would not recommend coming here.

Too oily, not recommended for people on any medications. Excess spice, making it not tasty. All bones, no meat except for 2/3 small melt meat crust.

“Amazing spicy dosa.”

Amazing spicy dosa! We stopped in for a quick bite and the food was delicious! Tiny spot, very casual. The men running the place were very friendly and answered my questions about the menu, as I’m not very familiar with the cuisine. Definitely would come back again!
