I’ve only had a few other bagels in the city, but they’ve all been rock hard within minutes. This was perfect. Crunchy outside/soft inside. I got the gravlax with the giardiniera spread and it was perfect. Nice little kick, but not overpowering. Def worth a try. Can’t wait to come back and try a sandwich next time!

“One word - Outstanding.”

One word - Outstanding. Food here is high quality and never disappoints. You can't go wrong with any selection but my favorites are the Brisket Sandwich, Mushroom Melt (add pastrami) and Bagel with Gravlax. They also a lot of monthly specials and this November's did not disappoint. The Thanksgiving Special is one of my favorites.

Came here for lunch and I got the quarter pound pastrami sandwich. It was delicious!! The meat was tender and lean but not dry 🙏 Also shoutout to the team for making my order within 2 minutes of ordering 🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️ I believe this spot tastes better than Schwartz Deli in Montreal 🫣 Just note if you choose to dine in there’s very limited seating available.

This place has fantastic deli meats, both the pastrami and corned beef are lights out. Pickles are fantastic, as are the Latkes. I liked it so much I took home the shirt. Limited seating on the inside so take out is probably easiest. Don't sleep on this spot.

“I never knew I needed a brisket sandwich in my life until today.”

I never knew I needed a brisket sandwich in my life until today. It's a unique love child of a Rueben (Russian dressing) and an Italian beef (beef, hot giardiniera) on a high quality, fresh roll. The ratio of meat to bread to sauce is on point and is big enough to fill you up but not too much to make you couch-bound for the remainder of your Saturday. I'd highly suggest complimenting the sandwich with a cup of matzo ball soup, or a potato latke, or both. In previous trips to Schneider l've tried bagels and the corned beef, would recommend it all. My wife gets the eggplant sandwich, and even though there is no meat on it, it's still a girthy sandwich that packs a punch of flavor. Lastly, the owner Jake and his wife are lovely people and the small deli has a great homey vibe.

Had a great pastrami sandwich on rye here for lunch. Cool little spot with vintage vibes. The pickle they give you with a sandwich was unique but very good, it had a different flavor than your average pickle spear. A sandwich with a pickle spear, a mini cup of coleslaw, and a Dr. Browns soda came out to $20.

“Great little deli.”

Great little deli. Family run! The building is part of the Ohio House Motel! If you want a seat on the weekend you need to get there fairly early. We got there at 8:30 and within a twenty minute period it was full. I had a pastrami sandwich and matzo ball soup for breakfast. My wife had an egg and cheese breakfast bagel. Everything was very good! The pastrami is made in house and just delicious. I told the owner it was one of the best pastrami sandwiches that I have had I a long time. The matzo ball soup was just what it’s suppose to be comforting and warm. Makes you think of your bubba! Breakfast bagel that my wife had for fresh made and delicious m! Highly recommend trying this place next time you’re in Chicago! Ps. It’s a very small dining room!

“This place was amazing.”

This place was amazing. Super tasty. The bean soup was the best soup I've had in a long time. The pastrami was the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned, cooked, and cut. It was so juicy and flavorful. If you're in Chicago downtown, do ya self a favor run here! Service and atmosphere is also very nice and cozy.

One of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever put in my mouth! Definitely add the hash browns. Love that they had a couple parking spots for us to get in and out with kids easily. Highly recommended

This is a perfect breakfast spot for a bagel and some coffee. I had the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with pastrami and hash browns. The egg everything bagel was cooked with the perfect crisp. They had a mom and pop ambiance with swift service. Although, it is a little pricey, I definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area and looking for a quick bite.

Great deli in downtown ⭐️💎 Classic Kosher deli with GREAT bagels! Fluffy on the inside with a firm outside. Had to try the pickle of course and it’s delicious. Lots of great choices on the menu.
