YooYee 喜又 — high-caliber chinese in Uptown. It gets busy, and that's part of the appeal. The flavors don't apologize for being bold. "The beef was extremely tender and juicy, but there weren’t too many pieces" — Jonathan Lee

“The noodles were incredible with the perfect texture and felt never ending in length”

“This viral Sichuan spot definitely hit the mark.”
This viral Sichuan spot definitely hit the mark! This was the perfect meal for a chilly winter day. We came around 1 on a Sunday, and it was completely packed, but the waitlist wasn’t too long. They’ll text you when your table’s ready, so you can take the time exploring the area or trying a fun bakery. The interior is bright and clean, and the workers here are very friendly and attentive. We got the popular spicy braised beef brisket hand-pulled noodle soup and the sweet-skinned duck. The soup was so soothing and wasn’t super spicy but still had a very deep flavor. The noodles were incredible with the perfect texture and felt never ending in length. The beef was extremely tender and juicy, but there weren’t too many pieces. The duck was a little greasy but very tender and meaty. Overall, the portion sizes were great, and the food was delicious, so I will absolutely be stopping in again the next time I’m in Argyle!

Worth any wait. Food comes fast and hot — so good that phone only ate first for half the meal! Every dish was delish. :) - wontons - spicy braised beef hand pulled noodle soup - salted crispy chicken - green beans - Thai tea and yuzu soda (with fresh yuzu!)

“Everything here was fantastic.”
Everything here was fantastic. We had the chili oil dumplings, brazed noodles with beef and the chongqing popcorn chicken with a pot of Jasmine tea. Everything ripped. The noodles were especially favorable and had a great chewy yet soft texture. I will say I still think I like Lao Sze Chuan dry chili chicken over Yoo Yee’s, but this was a really well-rounded experience. The place is definitely bustling right now and we had a short wait even at 4pm on a weekday.

Some excellent Sichuan dishes here, recommend the pork belly with garlic sauce, the sliced mixed beef appetizer, and the dry pot with kidney and aorta. Especially the dry pot, great heat control and knife work. Most recommended dish would be the sweet skin duck - no gaminess at all, very tender.

Amazing spicy food, this place is really amazing but also really busy and they don’t take reservations so be ready for a wait but definitely worth it. Get the pork belly appetizer and the chonqquing popcorn chicken. The price is also amazing

“Cozy restaurant with delicious (and spicy!) food.”
Cozy restaurant with delicious (and spicy!) food. The hand pulled noodles & beef brisket were super flavorful and we got a cucumber salad for a less spicy side. We also got the spicy popcorn chicken which was not too battered. The chili wontons were sweet and spicy with a strong garlic flavor and the mango passion bubble was very light and sweet!

“One of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago.”
One of the best meals I’ve had in Chicago. The hand pulled noodles are a need, and so are the wontons in chili oil. I recommend going w a bigger group so you can try more things!
