“This place is absolutely amazing! The food is consistently delicious, and the quality really stands out with every visit. Everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, making it easy to see why it's such a popular spot. The restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate the whole family, and the service is impressively fast. The food comes out quickly without sacrificing quality, which makes the experience even better. Between the excellent food, quick service, and welcoming atmosphere, this is a place I would happily recommend and look forward to visiting again.”

“This busy eatery was another highly recommended food spot while in Chicago. A little bit out of the city made easily accessible by the Red Line, was worth all the hype! Loud, clambering and bustling, Sun Wah was an experience. The walnut shrimp and beef noodles were tasty but the Peking duck was worth the wait! The duck was delicious and came with steam buns, duck fried rice and soup (broth). I would highly recommend to anyone coming in town!”

“Get the duck and add extra buns! It comes with fried rice and soup, and the portion is huge—more than enough food to share.”

“The food is always great. I love the fish with ginger and green onion. And my family loves the Peking duck dinner where they prepare it at the table, including cutting the duck.”

“Sun Wah BBQ, Chicago (North side). This is Hongkong style bbq. The Peking (Beijing) Duck here is a must try! As package, you will have sliced Peking Duck, Duck fried rice and soup. Btw this dish is off the menu. The fried rice and stir fry egg plant were equally fantastic! This is a 4.7/5.0 stars restaurant. Service is standard of fast moving Chinese restaurant.”

“The most iconic spot for Peking duck in Chicago! This renowned restaurant lived up to the expectation. The restaurant had plenty of seating, but keep in mind, you have to call ahead to reserve the whole duck dinner. The base price is $70, and you’ll definitely need six extra bao buns, which is another $4.50. It is intended for three to four people, and we thought it was a decent portion. Your food is brought out almost instantly, and they slice the duck tableside. The special thing about this Peking duck meal is that no part of the duck is wasted. The duck meat was so tender, smoky, and juicy. The skin was crisped nicely and provided a good textural contrast with the succulent meat. The roasted duck comes with thinly sliced carrots, green onions, radish, and a sweet, tart sauce, which all pair perfectly. The bao buns were steaming hot and pillowy soft. Putting together all the ingredients resulted in a grandiose symphony of flavors. The second course was the duck fried rice. It was seasoned well but did not seem to have too much duck meat. Lastly, we finished our meal with a soothing soup made from the duck carcass. The broth was rich and reinvigorating. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Chicago, Sun Wah is a must visit!”

“The Beijing Duck Dinner was excellent - crispy skin, and tasty. Other dishes ordered rounded out the meal: Walnut Shrimp, beef and pea pods, Chinese broccoli, medium bbq plate.”

“We went there at xmast eve. It was so crowded. The taste is so good. Especially peking duck”

“This place tastes amazing. They are big enough to bring your entire family and they are fast. The food comes out so quickly. They are over the top in quality.”
