Mon Lung Restaurant — neighborhood chinese in Noble Square. Flavors stay true to the source. Family-run. Jamil K: "Their crab rangoon is spot on, perfectly creamy and crispy"

Great spot! Food is always fresh, flavorful and consistent. Portions are solid, prices are fair and the staff is quick and friendly. Also perfect for catering, everything came hot and packed well. Highly recommend!

“A favorite since 2006.”
A favorite since 2006! This week Mon Lung catered our office's Lunar New Year lunch for 50 people and it got raving reviews! It feels high end for such a cozy spot! Great ingredients, large portions, and friendly staff that was easy to work with. A must stop spot when I'm in the neighborhood!

“Dine-in is OPEN!!”
Dine-in is OPEN!!! And Lane is giving it his best. Food was just as I remember it from 1993-2020: savory, delectably spicy, and delicious. Service was fantastic. There is no Chinese food like here. If Lane listens to constructive feedback and makes those legitimate tweaks that respectful low-star eaters have made, Mon Lung will be THE BEST CHINESE CUISINE RESTAURANT IN CHICAGO. They are very, very busy, so cut them some slack. They are only human like you and me. Don’t walk in here with an attitude and demanding. Running a business like he is, is tough. Imagine having to put on a smile for 300 people in and out every day. Have some compassion, but also do yourself a favor and give them another chance. You won’t be disappointed.

“Owner recommended I try their egg rolls and they were delicious.”
Owner recommended I try their egg rolls and they were delicious! The sesame chicken was one of the best I have had in Chicago - definitely going back soon. Great spot for dine in or takeout/delivery.

“Best Chinese food hands down.”
Best Chinese food hands down. Best orange chicken, sesame chicken, shrimp w/lobster sauce, pot stickers, chicken low mein that anyone in my party has ever had. Great ambiance, service, price. Top notch.

“Good Chinese food.”
Good Chinese food! Sesame chicken is excellent as well as their fried rice and egg drop soup! My go to Chinese food for the area! Service is attentive and welcoming. Usually a sports game on the tv including tennis (go Fed)

“Tried this Chinese restaurant recently and ordered the Broccoli Beef and Kung Pao Chicken.”
Tried this Chinese restaurant recently and ordered the Broccoli Beef and Kung Pao Chicken. Both were flavorful, but the Broccoli Beef stood out, it had a great tender beef and broccoli in a savory sauce. The Kung Pao Chicken was fine, though not as memorable. We went during lunch and got their lunch special, which is a solid deal. It includes your entrée, fried rice, and one big egg roll, definitely enough to fill you up. The inside of the restaurant is quite small with limited seating, so it seems like most people opt for takeout. Not the place for a dine-in experience, but a good option if you’re looking for a quick and satisfying Chinese takeout meal.

“Great place for takeout, not much allure for dining in.”
Great place for takeout, not much allure for dining in. The meals are great, picture below is the sesame chicken which was all white meat and the beef and broccoli which was very tender. I would pass on the appetizers: the crab ragoons had almost no filling at all and the egg rolls had a very sweet after taste that we didn’t care for.

Couple of things 1.- when you order , you can do it through the phone or online through their website if on the phone cash is the protocol but if online card is accepted , no rudeness just business wise 2.- the staff very friendly they treat you as a customer not as another sale 3.- dishes have good taste it depends on what your choice is for that day 5.- I enjoyed mine , I’ll be back again to get another dish
