Lee's Chop Suey — straightforward chinese in Roscoe Village. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too. Straight from the source, no adjustments. "The Chop Suey is packed with veggies and tender meat" — Yuxuan Liu (Krystal)

“Highly recommend.”
Highly recommend! Everything is AWSOME! To anyone reading reviews: don’t let a few negative comments scare you off. Everyone has different tastes, but Lee’s has built a loyal customer base for a reason. I’ve been coming to Lee’s Chop Suey for over 10 years, and I can honestly say the food has never let me down. The taste is always consistent, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Their General Tso’s chicken is the BEST dish ever—no competition! It’s crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced every single time. I’ve tried General Tso’s from many places, but nothing comes close to Lee’s. And don’t even get me started on their egg rolls—they’re hands down the best in the city! Golden, crispy, and packed with flavor.

“I just want to say, this place has to be the best Chinese restaurant in the city.”
I just want to say, this place has to be the best Chinese restaurant in the city! The food is amazing as well. As you guys can see in the photo everything was amazing. We had egg foo young, pepper steak, egg rolls, and let me tell you, it was off the charts! However I also want to point out that the owner was very kind and did me a favor. When my girlfriend was eating an egg roll, a ring popped out and I was embarrassed and I asked her to marry me :) now I have to say, God bless this restaurant, thank you for helping me make a nerve wrecking moment a special one!

“I recently dined at this Chinese restaurant, and it was such a pleasant experience.”
I recently dined at this Chinese restaurant, and it was such a pleasant experience! The restaurant has a warm and clean atmosphere, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Spring Rolls, and Lemon Shrimp, and each dish was absolutely delicious. The Orange Chicken had a unique flavor with a wonderful citrus aroma; the Mongolian Beef was tender and juicy with just the right seasoning; the Spring Rolls were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, truly unforgettable; and the Lemon Shrimp was perfectly balanced with a sweet and tangy taste. The portion sizes were generous, and the value for money was great. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return next time!

Damn, this food lookin’ fire! Plates stacked up with all the classics—crispy orange chicken glazed in that rich, sticky sauce, saucy lo mein loaded with veggies, fried rice cooked to perfection, and some bomb-looking beef and broccoli. Everything lookin’ fresh, hot, and seasoned just right. You already know that first bite boutta hit different. This the kinda meal that make you lean back in your chair and say, "Man, they did they thing in the kitchen!"

“Lee’s Chop Suey is a great spot for delicious, classic Chinese food.”
Lee’s Chop Suey is a great spot for delicious, classic Chinese food. The restaurant is cozy and casual, with friendly service that makes you feel welcome. The food is tasty and satisfying. The Chop Suey is packed with veggies and tender meat, and the Sweet and Sour Chicken is crispy on the outside with the perfect tangy sauce. The Beef with Broccoli is flavorful, and the best of all is the Egg Rolls and Crab Rangoons I really enjoy, they are crispy and delicious. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Overall, Lee’s Chop Suey is a great choice for a quick, tasty meal. Whether you’re dining in or getting takeout, you can count on a satisfying meal every time.

“Lee’s Chop Suey, is in my opinion, the best Chinese food in the city.”
Lee’s Chop Suey, is in my opinion, the best Chinese food in the city. We decided to dine in the first time out of spontaneity and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant looked fairly empty aside from one couple and a family dining in with us. But there were plenty of food delivery people coming in to get their orders. We thought about getting the food to go but I’m so glad we stayed! The atmosphere feels like you were taken back to the 90s. If you’ve watched Sex and the City, I definitely felt like I was meeting Mr. Big in a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. I recommend coming here and getting the egg rolls, BBQ pork fried rice, and the wonton soup. They were my favorites!

“Came from the bears game and was looking for a late night sit-in-spot to eat at.”
Came from the bears game and was looking for a late night sit-in-spot to eat at. We came across Lee's Chop Suey, and was it a great idea! Service was fast and wonderful. Food was even better! This might just be my new go to spot even though it is out the way from home. We had the beef chop suey, general tso's chicken, Spicy shrimp fried rice, and eggrolls. Yes, we were hungry! The portions were enormous and for the value it was worth it. Definitely deserves five star rating! A must try!
