“Really enjoyed the experience. It worked fine for a table of two, but the portion sizes definitely feel designed for groups of four or more so you can try several dishes together. The hot and sour soup was delicious, and the roasted duck and beef flank appetizers were both standouts. Everything came out flavorful and satisfying. We’ll definitely be back. Next time with a bigger group to explore more of the menu. BYOB”

“Friday night savior. This restaurant was able to accommodate a party of 9. We originally were stunned by the Ambiance and beautiful chandeliers. Large tables with lazy susans available. Easy parking right out front. Hot tea available for all tables. Peking duck! Get the Peking duck! It comes with bao buns that are phenomenal. Duck sauce was savory and and excellent addition. Friendly service.”

“Great service great food and we love the authentic food. Definitely will be back”

“Authentic Chinese Food in Uptown, Looks like a really fancy restaurant but has very decent and affordable prices !”

“My girlfriend and I stopped by Hon Kee after shopping at our favorite grocery store, Tai Nam. Since she had been here before, she highly recommended we stop by for lunch and it did not disappoint! For my first visit, I ordered the BBQ Duck & Chicken with Rice & Broccoli, while she got the BBQ Pork & Duck. Words can’t describe how incredible the meal was! The duck was perfectly tender, packed with rich flavor, and had just the right amount of saltiness to complement the savory sauce. Every bite was absolutely delicious. To top it off, the fresh smoothie I tried was so refreshing and smooth—the perfect way to complete the meal. Hon Kee is a must-try for anyone craving authentic, flavorful BBQ in Chicago’s Vietnamese Town. We’ll definitely be back!”

“My Argyle favorite Chinese restaurant. Always have the wonton soup with dumplings. BBQ pork and duck are also popular here.”

“Ordered Pecking Duck 3 ways, the duck is crispy and delicious, however hair is not plugged/ cleaned properly. Love the buns compared with traditional wraps. Soup is made of the duck neck and few bean sprouts. The stir-fry has no meat, few skin pieces here and there. Understand $70 for pecking duck 3 way is not the most expensive, but definitely felt a bit cheated. Overall, the duck itself is delicious - on the smaller side. The soup and stir-fry is not worth mentioning.”
