B.I. Tea and Dim Sum
B.I. Tea and Dim Sum is a French Market favorite for quick, affordable bites, with fresh shrimp dumplings, shu mai, bean curd skin rolls, BBQ pork buns, and adorable custard-filled piggy buns. Regulars pair the substantial combo boxes with brown sugar or taro milk tea, while adventurous sippers enjoy customizable roasted oolong and jasmine teas. Service is friendly and fast at lunch, though some orders—especially ube buns—may take time, and boba quality is mixed.

“Love the boba here. They also have super good buns and dumplings steamed fresh”

“My favorite drink is the Strawberry Milk Tea. I would highly recommend this place if you work or study nearby. Their new item, Ube Bun, is also my new favorite. The staffs are very helpful.”

“Very refreshing, I liked the jasmine tea with peach flavoring and mango popping boba”

“Love the food and drinks here. I stopped by for lunch with friends once a while. My favorite is their Brown Sugar Milk Tea and Combo Box. I highly recommend them.”

“Recently stopped by BI Tea and Dim Sum in the French Market and had a fantastic experience. I ordered the piggy buns, the combo dim sum box, and a jasmine green tea boba. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The piggy buns were not only adorable but also delicious, and the dim sum box offered a great variety. Highly recommend this spot! 10/10—definitely worth a visit.”

“My sister is obsessed with those kinds of tea places... we stopped there before heading back home, nice little spot. She liked her Bubba tea. Highly recommend.”

“This is a vendor in the Chicago French Market. The staff was very friendly. I tried their bubble tea, a roasted oolong milk tea with lychee jelly. It was really good, definitely exceeding expectations! The tea was legit! You can adjust the sugar and ice levels. I got it unsweetened which was good for me - the lychee jelly added a little sweetness - and forgot to ask for less ice like I usually get, but the regular ice level was perfect to keep my drink cold outside. I also got my drink with almond milk - they get big bonus points from me for offering almond and coconut as non-dairy alternatives for the milk teas.”

“Quick friendly service! The boba is great and the pork buns melt in your mouth.”

“Honestly some of the best veggie dim-sum I've had, not to mention the boba tea is pretty good. Wait is a little long but I think it's well worth it for fresh dim-sum. Boba takes a lot less time if you're just off the train and want a quick boba tea, but I think it's worth your time to wait for some fresh, hot food!”

“My wife got the dim sum combo to go so it was not hot when I ate it (I couldn't warm it up). Still, everything was tasty and it went well with the sauces it came with (one savory sauce and one spicy sauce). My wife and I liked everything, especially the bean curd skin roll very much.”

“I was super excited to try their bao and dim sum! It was delicious and the buns were by far the best part! Would recommend those to anyone. It was super filling, less is more.”

“Coming off the train we were thirsty and wanting a refreshment. We stumbled across this stand in the market and we found it quite tasteful and refreshing. We didn’t get any of the Dim Sum but hopefully look forward to getting some soon. I went with the Mango Ice Blend w Boba and it was delicious and the right amount of sweetness.”
