It's crazy how Chicago don't have enough Hawaiian restaurants, but I'm glad I pick this place as my first. Katie the cashier was very sweet and helpful, she made sure I picked the right choice for me. The BBQ beef bowl was Awesome!!!! They do give you alot so don't worry about them being stingy with it. The chicken Gyoza is Chinese dumplings lite, and the coconut butter Mochi is a weird tasting cake....unique but weird. The Hawaiian sun drinks are good, this place definitely has a returning customer.

Amazing food that is worth the price! Highly recommend to bring friends and family to try! My experience here has been amazing so far! I have ordered food for pick up and dined in and every time the food was delicious. We ordered : Kalbi short Ribs Garlic Furikake Chicken 🫶🏼 Loco Moco Huli Huli Chicken Teriyaki Chicken Spam Musubi Passion fruit tea Strawberry something 😣 I forgot All the food we ordered was delicious, we actually got a couple of combo plates to try the different options. I will say that my personal favorite was the garlic chicken. It was just so crispy and light and I definitely would order a plate of that just alone. Each of the plates came with a macaroni salad and rice. We also got free Spam Musubi because we spent over $40 for our meal but they have other freebie options. Our total cost for all the food we got was about $80 for 4 people (we ate good!) not including tip. But just be aware that we ordered some combo plates to save us some money. Just be patient when waiting for your food. I actually enjoyed waiting because the current business location used to be another restaurant called Chan Garden and it was one of my favorite spots to get Chinese food but they had closed down many many many years ago so it’s really nice to see the space activated again. 🥸Honestly, maybe my only complaint is that I haven’t tried all the food and secondly they don’t slice the chicken (thigh cut) so when we try to cut it up using the plastic fork or knife it was a little bit harder. I don’t know if there’s a reason why they’re not cut up but it’s not so much of a complaint just like a technical thing. 💖All in all, I’ll let the pictures do the talking and hopefully you enjoy the food as much as we did. ⚕️If you are diabetic, I would ask if you could adjust the sweetness of the drinks. I had toe taro milk tea at 50 % sweet and it was great :) I feel like if you get a combo plate or a regular platter, you can always save half for later to avoid glucose spikes but honestly, I didnt finish all of it and I was able to feel fine after so I think with this comment, it’s more about moderation without You Sacrificing quality delicious food.

OHHHHHH MY GOODDDNESSS. This is the best food I've had in months! I prayed..I suffered and Aloha BBQ was the answer! I just realizes the 4.8 star reviews..I CAN RELATE! This place saved my bowels! Now I'm actually happy and ready to go preach the word! PRAISE the Lord! Come to church. They even have the most Heavenly bangers playing in the background..perfect place to make calls for referals! All missionaries should come here and experience gloria! Amen! ☺️

Got the lemongrass pork and chicken katsu combo 😋 👌, flavorful and tender. Macaroni salad could be a little creamier but was good ( I got extra for home ) . Shaking beef was tender and delicious. Staff were very pleasant . The only negative were the flimsy plastic utensils; invest in something sturdier, please. Will definitely go back !

“This is actually a really good place to eat.”

This is actually a really good place to eat. The staff are so helpful and so kind and really courteous. But what amazed me was the food. You can tell it is high-quality and the service was very speedy and they managed to get $30 worth of food out in around 10 minutes. It is even reasonably priced and the portions are great especially if you are just going by yourself and want something that is really good. I cannot recommend this place enough

I legit just got back from Hawaii two days ago and I had to try this restaurant. I was CRAVING spam musubi and this was the first thing that popped up on the google search. The spam musubi is FIRE, very similar to the ones I had in O’ahu. I had the pork belly rice bowl and truly it was pretty tasty- wasn’t expecting the extra vegetables in the entrée but it was still good. Overall, with the spam musubi, pork belly bowl, and a hawaiian sun drink I spent $26. Take that as you will. But very yummy place if you’re wanting a Hawaiian dish for lunch/dinner

Fresh ingredients and cleanly prepared - the teraki chicken was perfectly cooked, and the rice was also! The Mac salad was more mild in taste, but still pleasing. The Thai iced tea was delicious! The prices are fair for the portions and quality. Appreciate the care! <3
