This place never disappoints , jerk chicken meal was pretty good but I always get Ox Tails my #1 choice. Their potato salad is my favorite , rice, empanadas,fried chicken & carrot cake is good too check them out!

I can not recommend this place enough. The food was absolutely incredible and the owner was warm and welcoming. She recommended me the curry chicken and I can say with absolute certainty that that was the best chicken I have ever had. The food was very flavorful and a great deal! If you're a new navy graduate i would absolutely recommend eating here!

First time purchaser, lifetime customer. I cook extremely well but when I'm not up to it I appreciate a business that loves what they do. I knew just by the AAA customer service of the person answering the phone that I had found such a place. Although my order had been slightly altered and I wound up getting potato salad instead of steamed cabbage 🤨🤷🏽♂️ 😁I enjoyed the food sooooo much that I had to take a break from eating it to tell you how much. The oxtails taste like my grandmother made them and the jerk chicken is exquisitely prepared, tender and delicious. The potato salad is delicious and I'm the best potato salad maker on the planet (I'll leave a picture) & the lemon meringue is the best I've had, probably ever! The portions were more than perfect. You definitely get the best bang for your buck. Great job Taste of Belize 👍

No need to travel to Evanston or Chicago for great Carribean food! This food gives me life! Rice & beans? Yes! Curry chicken? Yes! Fried Plantain? Yes! Jerk chicken! Yes! Stew Chicken! Goat! Coconut tart! ...list goes on & on. You get plenty food for a good price! I tried a popular Belize meat pie. Too much gravy, not enough meat for me, but the flavor is nice. They also have jamaican patties too. The building is very much standing room only, so plan on taking out. If you dont call ahead, plan on waiting cuz everything is cooked to order and takes a while. Overall, dont judge this book by its cover. You'll miss out on a classic. I will definitly be back to try ALL their menu items. I have yet to meet a Taste of Belize dinner I can't yam!

Absolutely delicious! The panades with the habanero sause, the salbutes(can get soggy if you wait to eat it), the curry goat(bones are to be expected), and the oxtail with coconut rice and beans, potato salad and plantains(were sweet) was all very amazing.

Wonderful food from Belize! Easily the Best fried chicken in Waukegan that I have found, and the Belizean rice and beans is so delicious! Call ahead, each order is handmade and takes a while, so be prepared to wait! The portions are large and generous and very reasonably priced. This is a carry out the place, little to no seating area to eat. Very friendly service. Been coming here for 3 year since they opened, and I always have received good food!
