I'm moving my reviews over from Yelp. I am so happy to see they've opened a St Louis location as well with the same menu. This was originally published 5/6/19: Saucy Porka kinda rocks! I was in for lunch during a freak late-April winter storm and really enjoyed everything I ate. This place is already pretty well reviewed so I'm just going to hit a couple of the highlights: * Best bite was certainly the chorizo eggroll. It was simultaneously sweet, spicy, crunchy and loaded with flavor. * They have a different name for their bao - they call them "baco" because they are served standing up. It's your restaurant and your pen so I suppose you can write whatever you want but they still look like bao to me. That said, the tofu bao was really outstanding. The bun was light while the tofu had a bit of a crunch to it. The lightly dilled vegetables were sweet and vinegar-y with a nice snap that rounded out each bite. I tried a few other things but those two were the stand-outs for me. I hope they do well in HP. Their location is a bit of a challenge but maybe 55th Street has changed since I lived in the neighborhood.

I JUST ordered about an hour ago from DoorDash and I haaad to get on here to let y’all know. I only got to take a picture of the Ropa Vieja Beef Bowl because I practically inhaled everything else right before. The Beef Baco is good, Picadillo Egg Roll was yummy as well. The Chorizo Egg Roll was BOMB. And the Ropa Vieja Beef Bowl is just too good. Meat is tender and all the flavors work really well together. Can’t wait to try even more from here!

“Where do I begin.”

Where do I begin. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. We ordered Monkey Fries in house and Asian paella, Puerto Rican rice and duck gumbo to go. When I say wow, I mean WOW! We will definitely be back for the ‘bacos’ and egg rolls soon.

Love their food. Typically order online but I've dined in as well and enjoyed myself. Delivery is pretty quick (quicker than some fast food options even).my favorites are their picadillo/chorizo egg rolls and the DUCK GUMBO (w added chicken and/or shrimp). One of few places I can get a hibiscus juice (as a fan of bissap or sorrel) . Also good: their bacos, monkey fries, THE DIPPING SAUCES, and a host of other items It's actually wild how often I eat here/order delivery from here.

I was so satisfied with this place, I HAD to run it back the next day. Day 1 I had Bacos. The pork one was nothing special. The shrimp was probably my fav. I enjoyed the corn salsa that came on it. The duck baco was delicious as well. I could probably eat these everyday. Day 2- I ordered the duck and shrimp bacos. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Anyway, I wanted to try something different so I ordered the gumbo with duck and added shrimp for an extra charge. Now the gumbo was tasty, however, I would not call it a gumbo because it did not have okra. The word “gumbo” literally means okra. Also, it was a little too thin for me. I know I’m nitpicking, but it is what it is. Would I ordered again? Yes, and that’s all that matters.

“I plan parties for our group of 10-30 people.”

I plan parties for our group of 10-30 people. This has been by far the most successful catered event I’ve hosted. We ordered catering for 25 people. Not only was the quantity more than sufficient, but the price fit within our budget. They catering order came with tags for each dish which was so important for our GF/veg/vegan attendees. The ordering process was easy and friendly over email and delivery was swift and convenient. I am so glad we ordered Saucy Porka for our party… we will certainly do it again!

“What a fun place.”

What a fun place! The menu is eclectic and I want to try everything on it….especially the duck gumbo. I had panang curry chicken banh mi and curry sweet potato fries. Highly recommend giving them a try. Service was great too.

Came here for dinner and to shelter from the rain. Ordering was straightforward. Scan QR code and place order online. Each person can order separately, so there is no need to split the bill. Fairly quick service as well. We were coming from a different place, so we had some leftover boba - they didn't ask us to throw it out which was nice coz most places don't let you bring outside drinks in. Prices were great and the food we ordered were all amazing. Chicken gumbo, monkey fries, breakfast banh mi, and the Puerto Rican rice bowl. Will definitely come back.

“This place was straight up yummy.”

This place was straight up yummy. Me and my boyfriend both got the Puerta Rican rice bowls. His was vegan and mine was with the fried shrimp. We also got a side of their fries and I got the shrimp po mi sandwich and he got the tostones. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back to try more of their menu items.
