“I had a hankering for Jamaican Beef Patties. I ended up at Jerky Jerk. Looked at the menu and ended up with Jerk Chicken Tacos + jerk sauce and a Patty. Could not not order a Ting. The food was fantastic. Jerk sauce has a nice kick of heat—very flavorful spicy. The woman working was friendly and nice. Only thing I would change is, get rid of the ordering tablets—it’s confusing—do I order on the tablets or with the lady standing at the counter? I prefer interacting with humans 🤷♂️ Overall, portions + taste were on point for the price and the visit was awesome & I will be returning.”
“I am a repeat customer here but I will not be anymore. Completely messed up my order. Asked for fried chicken , didn’t receive it. Left my Mac and cheese off as well. The chicken was very very dry & when I called to tell them of course they never answer the phone !!! I finally got in touch with someone who told me they would replace my order, I called back to confirm and they never answered. This place use to be great, I was very unpleased with my food as well as how it was handled! On top of that the order took over a hour just to be completely wrong !!!”

“The service was horrible 😞 I stood in line waiting to pick up my food for almost 30min... While workers literally walked pass me without saying hello or asking what I was standing in line for 😩😩 my jerk dinner wasn't all that only the cabbage was good... The macaroni tasted nasty like it was out the box 🤢🤮🤢🤮 I would never spend my9ney here again, it was a waste of america dollars”
“The flavors here are so genuinely incredible. the candied yam tasted like honey and had such a lovely texture, all of the chicken was tender and flavorful, their drinks were impeccable, and the mac n cheese tasted like its made with joy. Not only all of that, but the service was wonderful as well. The prices are great, especially for what you get. I couldn't recommend this place enough, and will certainly be back next time I'm in Chicago”

“I just moved to Chicago with my fiancée and with our apartment being a complete mess with unpacked boxes Jerky Jerk shone line a beacon of light offering excellent food while our dishes and pans remained clad in bubble wrap. I am overjoyed that we found an apartment so close to this restaurant as I will be frequenting it often. Everything is excellent and the candied yams are literally the best I have ever had. I would suggest anyone else moving to the city also find a home close enough to walk here.”
“One of my favorite places for vegan options!!!! Warm, inviting, fun atmosphere, and their plaintains and cabbage are out of this world!!! The music is FABULOUS!!!!! OLD SCHOOL 70S SOUL, R&B, and some new music, too, BUT an EMPHASIS on the 70s!!!! Whenever I just want a place to have a good solid meal, relax, and enjoy some time to myself, I come to Jerky Jerk. Oh, and I sure do love the owners and staff. They take care of the neighborhood. Old school Chicago style.”
