D’s Roti & Trini Cuisine — one of Back of the Yards's strongest caribbean spots. Not your typical menu, in a good way. The staff makes it feel personal, and vegetarian-friendly. Ryan P.: "The double was so fresh, as well as the bake with salt fish and daulpuri with curry chicken"

My husband and I just ate at D’s ..for the very first time a Ms a Father’s Day treat and we truly enjoyed every bite. The owners were friendly, and welcoming. They politely took the time out to explain each food choice. Our curried & brown stewed chicken, calleloo and okra, peas, potatoes and roti were bursting with different flavors of deliciousness!👏🏾👏🏾 We WILL be back. The Oladipupo’s

All yuh! I highly recommend Ds! Their customer service is top-notch, and the food is authentic and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, which included doubles, potato and channa with dhalpuri roti, beef and potatoes with paratha, and corn soup. The beef was tender and nice! Everything seasoned perfectly. As a Trinidadian, I can confidently say that Ds serves genuine Trinidadian cuisine. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Customer service was great because I didn't know about most things on the menu and they take the time to explain what you are getting. The doubles are my favorite and the roti is next up

“D's Roti is the best, or "d' bess" as they would say in Trinidad.”
D's Roti is the best, or "d' bess" as they would say in Trinidad! D's Roti makes quality, delicious, authentic Trinidadian food. My wife is from Port of Spain, and she says D's Roti reminds her of home. We always get the paratha because it is always warm, comforting, and full of flavor. We've had the curry salmon, goat, chicken, and potato & chana - all is delicious. And D is so sweet - we've been ordering from her for years; when we see her she always has a smile on her face and checks in on us. We couldn't recommend D's more!

“Incredible Trini cuisine made by an amazing chef.”
Incredible Trini cuisine made by an amazing chef. I ordered doubles x2 with tamarind and pepper sauce, dhalpuri roti with curry goat, and mac pie. I ate one order of doubles at D’s and took the rest to go. I shared a couple of bites with my wife when I got home and inhaled the rest. The vibes at D’s were great with soca music playing in the background. If I lived closer to D’s I would be there once a week.

As a Grenadian, I was very happy and excited when I fall upon this authentic Trini Restaurant! I’ve tried the roti and I give it 8/10 and the goat doubles 10/10! This place is and will be my 2nd home when my pots are turned down. I love how friendly the workers are! Really felt an instant warm welcome and a family spirit. Thank you for serving us authentic food!

Hubby and I drove to Chicago especially for doubles from Indy, spoke with D and her hubby, it was a pleasure meeting Trini like myself. The doubles was light and packed with flavor like we get in Trinidad , will definitely be making more trips to Chicago for doubles at D”s ,we also tried their bus up shut roti and curry chicken and D gave me a dhal puri roti to sample, the food was well seasoned, don’t forget to ask for their homemade pepper sauce for added heat. Will definitely be going back soon and placing my order for doubles and walking with my cooler to bring doubles home.
