My family and I flew in from Dallas Texas to celebrate new years I. Chicago and of course we knew authentic Cuban food was on the agenda. We found 1492 Cuban Fusion and it was amazing authentic Cuban food the staff was so friendly. If you’re looking for authentic Cuban food this is a must. Gracias

The food is amazing. I love their Cafe con Leche both iced and hot taste great. The food is made fresh and the staff is friendly. One of the best Cuban restaurants in Chicago. I highly recommend it.

As someone new to Chicago, finding this Cuban restaurant was a really pleasant surprise. The food was full of flavor and tasted homemade, especially the classic Cuban dishes that you don’t always find done right. The portions were generous, the prices felt fair, and everything came out fresh and hot. What really stood out was the welcoming atmosphere. It felt like a little piece of Cuba in the middle of Chicago. I’ll definitely be coming back. A perfect spot if you’re craving comforting, flavorful food and a warm, friendly vibe.

I had catered a leg of pork and lechón asado. With tray of con grais. It was delicious. We had close to 30 guests. And it was more than enough.. Tasted so good. Everyone love it.

we ordered the cubano, cafe con leche, and fried potato balls (I don’t remember their name) but the cubano sandwich was good just a little too much shredded meat for my taste. the ham was present but I am not used to so much shredded meat. It overpowered the ham and in some instances made my mouth too dry lol. The cafe con leche felt a little watered down than I am used to but then my husband ordered the doble doble or something like that and that was DELICIOUS! I just can’t take that much caffeine. The deep fried potato balls were delicious as well. They give you like 6 or 7 so worth sharing. They offered two sauces, the garlic creamy sauce and another creamy sauce that was red. The garlic creamy sauce was very very garlicy. the red sauce tasted like ketchup and mayo together with something else added. They were good all in all. Don’t knock ‘em til you try ‘em! They kept the bongo from señor pan as this was a señor pan back in the day. Lots of historical pics of cuba. Small place but comfy! Def need to go again for their guava smoothie! I heard it is delish!
