The atmosphere was also lovely, the decor all on point and authentic feeling, we sat out on the patio

Cafecito — neighborhood caribbean in Lincoln Park. The kind of place your parents probably knew about too. The drinks match the food in quality, and solid veggie options. Rachel S: "Also, the mangonut pancakes were the best pancakes I’ve ever had period" [$$, patio]

🌱Vegan & vegetarian friendly — real options, not one sad pasta.
☀️Patio — a Lincoln Park classic in summer.

So good! We got omelettes that did not disappoint! Their hot sauce is amazing and so is the service!

Strictly Iced Cafe Con Leche and Pavo Sandwiches. Simple, meaty, fresh and not a mess when you get to eating it. The price is good for the quality and taste. Must try the two.

Café con leche … but make it iced on a hot Chicago summer day! And their Cuban sandwich! Perfect lunch! Servings were enough to feed my party of 2. A little hidden, but a total gem.

Cafecito is conveniently located and nestled in a charming neighborhood on W Fullerton Parkway, steps from the Lincoln Park Zoo and Conservatory. The menu is wide, and full of Cuban specialties. The Palmacate salad was large and lush, with crisp fresh greens, cucumber, the freshest tomatoes, and an avocado so perfectly ripe it was wondrous. The Guava-Q pork sandwich was sweet and tangy, on freshly toasted Cuban bread, with tender carmelized onions. You can also get the sandwich with chicken. There was a good-sized vegetarian menu as well. The service was outstanding. My server was lovely, and provided wonderful advice on public transportation, as well as the happenings of the evening (fireworks on the Navy Pier!). This was an impromptu decision, but one I am thrilled to have made. Cafecito is a wonderful dining option in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago.
