Polish Pączki Café
Polish Pączki Café — one of Jefferson Park's strongest cafe spots. The decor hasn't changed, and it doesn't need to. The recipes feel handed down, not invented. Margaret Larkin: "The pierogi were fantastic: fresh and soft and flavorful"

“Absolutely beautiful and cozy little place with fresh flowers everywhere. A very calm atmosphere and the Pączki was incredible, warm and filled with flavorful jam. Loved it🙌”

“Before arriving to this place I had a light lunch. I walk in thinking it’s a paczki bakery, and I get offered a menu. The menu has a variety of Polish entrees, and I couldn’t resist. I got the placek po węgiersku; potato pancakes with meat gulasz and other fixings. While waiting I go the kompot in the fridge. I could not believe how good it was. By the time the food arrived I had to grab another one! So good. While I was waiting for the food a couple people came to get paczki and sat to wait for them becuase they are were just coming out hot! After my amazing meal, I ordered 4 paczki, one for now and the other 3 to share. I arrived home with 0 paczki with me. I ate them all! So good! I’m highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is like being at your grandmas place, they could step up and make it cuter more modern.”

“If you have a single complaint about anything at polish paczki cafe from the service to food you aren't someone who enjoys great grub you are a natural born whiner! In a city who's culinary delights will leaving you smiling this place might have you grinning the widest from the home made fruit punch to piegories to paczki everything gets a A+! I wish I lived closer!!!”

“Went here on „Pączki Day” 2026… it was quite nice that the restaurant opened at 3 AM. When I went around 9 AM there wasn’t much of a line. The pączki are very fresh and even hot when I picked them up. I guess the only complaint I could have is they only carry one flavor. It is like a mixed berry flavor. It is good, but would have preferred to have other flavors, especially the traditional rose flavor. But overall good.”
“My family used to come to Old Warsaw for many many years and now we come here almost every week. Pani Ania is the absolute sweetest and makes all the food amazing! Whenever we have a family event we always choose to cater from here and have never been dissatisfied or disappointed. The pączki are to die for! We will forever keep coming here ❤️”
“This is fine Polish cuisine at its best. The pork tenderloin was fork tender and perfectly seasoned. Mashed potatoes from scratch were delicious, and a perfect vehicle for the gravy and vegetables. A side of cabbage and sour cream dill cucumber slices was included in this entree. The pierogi were done to perfection. The thin dough was just like my Bušia used to make. Generous fillings of mushroom, meat, potato, etc. were topped with crisp bacon. Delicious. The paczki dessert was swoonworthy. That is NOT an exaggeration! Served warm and soft as a pillow. This restaurant shows its pride by its sparkling cleanliness and conscientious service. You can take home some fresh pastries readily available. YOU MUST GO NOW!”
“Pretty good Polish donuts ( pączki ). They only make one type, the original with the traditional rose filling. They're not as light and fluffy as the best pączki we had in Poland recently but they're pretty good for U.S. standards. If I'm in the area in the future, I would stop by here again. Bring cash for pączki!”
“very authentic Polish menu and staff. Don't let the name full you, this is a full menu restaurant not just cakes and coffee!”
“Great food and atmosphere !!! We will always come back for more !”
