“Insanely good breakfast and lunch spot in the city. Every sandwich I’ve had here has been incredible. The chocolate cake (featured on The Bear) is delicious, but our favorite is the oatmeal cream pie, it’s absolutely worth saving room for. The coffee is good, though not amazing (I’m a bit of a coffee snob, so take that with a grain of salt). For a place that isn’t primarily a coffee shop, it’s more than solid. There’s almost always a line on weekends, but don’t let that scare you away. The staff keeps things moving quickly, and even when it’s packed, we’ve never had trouble finding a seat. Definitely one of our favorite spots in Chicago.”

“Got a corn cookie and a pesto croissant and both pastries were delicious. I’ve had their breakfast sandwich before also that is amazing.”

“I had a lovely lunch at Loaf Lounge! I went on a Saturday early afternoon so it was quite busy. I got the turkey sandwich which has sunflower seeds and ramp pesto which not only makes it unique but delicious too! The bread was toasted to perfection so crispy and nice. The ingredients stacked nicely and tasted great together. It took a moment to come out because they were busy but it says expect a wait of 20-30 minutes on their menu so that’s no surprise. They have indoor and outdoor eating spaces. Everyone is so nice!!”

“A really chill and bright atmosphere, Loaf Lounge is a great spot to check out for high quality food! There is great outdoor seating, and the environment inside is great, too. This vibey lounge serves one of the city’s best breakfast sandwiches. I was so impressed by each component. You definitely need to add a hash brown because it’s so yummy and crispy. There’s a perfectly cooked fried egg topped with melted American. There’s homemade sausage was amazing. It was really herby and seasoned with lots of spices. The herby mayo is also great and creamy. The English muffin bun brings it all together. It’s crisp, light, and chewy. Loaf Lounge is also home to the famous chocolate cake featured on The Bear, so I had to order a slice. It was a pretty phenomenal cake. Really dense layers of cake and fresh chocolate cream with amazing dark chocolate flavor. It’s not too sweet as well! Definitely worth a trip to Logan Square to get your hands on this sandwich!”

“We left downtown Chicago on the L to do some thrift shopping in this fun little neighborhood. Found this fun little cafe / coffee shop for breakfast while we waited for the thrift stores to open. There's a handful of tables and a counter. You order at the counter and then can grab a seat. They have a case full of delicious looking sweets, a full coffee bar / drink menu, and a handful of breakfast and lunch dishes. I had the breakfast burrito, which was huge, and one of the best I've ever had. A really interesting blend of ingredients worked really well together and it was a great way to start the day. There was a steady stream of folks coming in for coffee orders, and I have to assume this spot is a neighborhood favorite.”

“Since paying nearly $20 (after tax and tip) for a sandwich is now the norm, it is nice to find places that actually provide a great product worthy of the price tag. Really fresh ingredients, well seasoned, hefty servings of fillings, and made to order”

“Breakfast sandwhich was beyond good. I also got the oatmeal cream pie and it was the best one I’ve ever had”

“I stopped by Loaf Lounge in Chicago and was seriously impressed. I ordered their smoked cured salmon on house-made marble rye, topped with herby cream cheese, capers, red pickled onions, thinly sliced cucumbers, and roe — and wow. Every flavor came together beautifully. It was light, fresh, and incredibly well-balanced. The cream cheese and capers complemented the salmon perfectly, while the roe added a subtle pop of briny richness. The house-made marble rye was an elegant choice of bread — soft yet sturdy, with just the right depth of flavor to tie everything together. For dessert, I had their famous chocolate cake, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The cake was very moist and slightly dense, exactly how a great chocolate cake should be. The icing was rich, flavorful, and sweet without being overpowering. Just a really solid, satisfying chocolate cake from start to finish. Loaf Lounge delivers both finesse and comfort in one stop. Definitely a place I’d come back to.”

“I came because they make the famous chocolate cake seen in The Bear. I also got their breakfast sandwich which was very good with the sautéed veggies and herby mayo that added great flavor, and the egg was perfectly runny. The hash brown was crispy and very similar to a McDonald’s hash brown. For dessert, I obviously got the cake. It was dense and rich without being overwhelming. It wasn’t overly sweet thanks to the dark chocolate. The frosting was excellent and balanced the whole thing nicely.”

“Sausage egg and cheese was delicious! The vibe was great but I was surprised by how busy it was. Would've loved to read a book while I drank my cappuccino but there is limited seating. Staff was fantastic and quick to get out drinks and food. Will need to add a hash brown to my sandwich and try out the cocktails next time.”
