As you move towards the ordering counters, you see an arrangement of Indian dry snacks, biscuits, tea, spices, Maggi etc on one side - I am assuming for sale as Indian population is their target customer group

Not too expansive menu - just a few staples to choose from. But, every single item is amazing. Not expensive either. Good veg and non veg options. The chai was amazing too along with lassi.

This is a great fast casual spot for Indian food, offering wraps, rolls, sandwiches, and rice bowls in a quick and convenient format. Located on Ohio Street with a small storefront, it may be easy to miss, but it's clearly a popular choice for takeout. The concept is similar to Chipotle or Subway, but with flavorful Indian-inspired ingredients and customizable options. Everything we tried was fresh, satisfying, and full of authentic flavor. The wraps and rolls were especially delicious, and the spicy sauce is a must try if you enjoy a little heat. With quick service, tasty food, and great value, this is an excellent place to grab a fast and flavorful meal.

Affordable and flavorful Indian food (4/5 Green Stars) Bombay Eats began as Bombay Wraps in 2010 and has just completed a name-change and rebranding. Considering the old name, I ordered wraps, figuring they do them well – and they did! I ordered the cheese paneer wrap ($6.99) and the potato cauliflower wrap ($6.49) to go and they were assembled fast in front of my eyes. The server explained that the mild sauce was a 3/10 while the spicy was 7/10, so I went with the mild and I’m glad I did as it had a bit of a kick! The wraps (choice of paratha or whole wheat roti) themselves are delicious and the spicy fillings are nicely balanced with some shredded cabbage/lettuce. For $17 including tax + tip it was a lot of food – a large dinner for one or lunch for two. I highly recommend Bombay Eats for quick flavorful Indian street food and will visit again when I (hopefully) make it back to Chicago. I want to try all of their “messy” sides next. Messy sweet potato fries, topped with paneer, tikka masala sauce, chutney & fresh cilantro? Yes please! I’m also rating Bombay Eats 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: • Bombay Eats seems to be a well-loved by locals and the owners are known as a decent people. • They have a Bombay Cares program where they participate in fundraisers. Coming up in June – the Alzheimer’s Association. • A good spot for vegans and vegetarians. The website has a nice guide (vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, Halal, etc.) to each component (wrap, filling, sauce, etc.) so everything’s clear. • The biggest thing that Bombay Eats could do for the planet is to stick with chicken as the main meat offering and ditch the beef and lamb. The environmental footprints (carbon, land, etc.) of beef and lamb are > 10 times higher than those of chicken. It would be nice to see seitan or other plant proteins instead of the beef and lamb. • Packaging for my wraps was fairly minimal: foil-coated paper and a small paper bag.

We were looking for somewhere quick to eat. This is the fastest s3rvice we have seen in our lives. From the time we walked through the door to payment was 3 minutes. The food was also delicious!

Loved the fast food experience there as it was easy, quick and authentic. I went twice in 3 days and enjoyed naan rolls on both ocassions with rose lassi with basil seeds (must try and so much better than regular Mabgo lassi).

Bombay Wraps is a fantastic find in Chicago. I was so impressed that I ended up going back two days in a row during my stay. They specialize in Indian-style wraps, burritos, and bowls, offering a unique fusion that hits the spot. The flavors here are authentic and incredibly consistent. If you’re in the city and want something flavorful and filling, don't miss this spot!

Is right next door to the hotel so I just went over there. The menu look good. They have wraps, bowls and a pitas. I had the chicken Tikka. The somosable. And the banana nut walnut wrap. All were outstanding. The lady at the front was very helpful and patient while I try to figure out what to order. Cuz I'm getting dinner and breakfast.

Came hear for lunch while in Chicago for a Conference. I visited multiple times because I loved the food. The "Wrap" is not what you think (tortilla shell) but is my new favorite type of bread paratha (think buttery Naan). I wish this type of take away restaurant was where I live as I would come weekly!

Indian food during my trip to Chicago, and when I came across Bombay Eats, the Indian fusion concept caught my attention. It’s conveniently located close to the beach, making it about a 10 mins walk, so it was an easy stop. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer a few questions I had about the menu. I ended up ordering the paneer bowl, which came with rice, salad, and vegetables. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavors were really good. I’m usually someone who can’t finish an entire bowl, but I ended up eating the whole thing because it was that satisfying. The unexpected highlight for me was that they sell Indian snacks! My favorite, the dark green Kurkure, was sitting right there on the shelf, and I immediately grabbed a pack to snack on later. The prices felt reasonable for the portion size and the quality of the ingredients. I visited around 6 p.m. on a weekday, so it wasn’t too busy, which made for a relaxed dining experience. I’d definitely come back the next time I’m craving Indian food in Chicago.
