“Whole Foods Downtown Chicago is already known for its fresh groceries, high-quality organic...”
Whole Foods Downtown Chicago is already known for its fresh groceries, high-quality organic products, and convenient location, but what really makes this spot stand out is its bar. Yes, you read that right—this Whole Foods has a full bar inside, and it’s easily one of the best-kept secrets in the area. Whether you’re looking for a place to relax after work, a quick drink while shopping, or even a casual hangout with friends, this spot has you covered. One of the biggest draws of the bar is the fantastic selection of drinks and rotating specials. They offer a great variety of beers, wines, and cocktails at reasonable prices, making it a surprisingly affordable place to grab a drink in downtown Chicago. Whether you’re in the mood for a craft beer, a refreshing cocktail, or a nice glass of wine, there’s always something interesting on the menu. But what truly makes this bar special is the bartender, Tyler. He is hands down one of the best bartenders around—friendly, knowledgeable, and always making sure customers have a great experience. He takes the time to get to know regulars, remembers your drink preferences, and is always happy to recommend something new based on your taste. Whether you want a perfectly mixed cocktail, a cold beer after a long day, or just some good conversation, Tyler is the guy to see. The atmosphere of the bar is another pleasant surprise. It’s laid-back, welcoming, and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Chicago. You don’t often think of a grocery store as a place to sit and unwind with a drink, but this Whole Foods proves that it can be done—and done well. The seating area is comfortable, and it’s a perfect spot to take a break from errands or meet up with a friend for a quick drink. Overall, this Whole Foods isn’t just a great place to shop—it’s a great place to grab a drink, too. With awesome specials, a great selection, and top-notch service from Tyler, it’s definitely worth checking out. If you’ve never stopped by the bar inside Whole Foods Downtown Chicago, you’re missing out on a hidden gem in the city

“I love this small Whole Foods.”
I love this small Whole Foods! It's the perfect size for my neighborhood, and it has everything I need for my weekly grocery shopping. The produce is always fresh and delicious, and the meat and seafood counter is top-notch. I also love the selection of prepared foods, which is perfect for busy weeknights. The staff at this Whole Foods are always friendly and helpful. They're always happy to answer my questions and make recommendations. I also appreciate that they're always willing to go the extra mile to help me find what I'm looking for. Specifically the cheese section- they have amazing samples and I am over the moon with the selection here.

“Always a delicious 😋 experience at Whole Foods.”
Always a delicious 😋 experience at Whole Foods. I gotta the white fish with capers and olives, General Tsao Tofu and Cauliflower, macaroni and cheese, mixed veggies, and a kale and tortellini soup. I was so pleased with the taste of the food and the freshness. Chicago Whole Foods is a win!!!

“My new fav supermarket in Chicago.”
My new fav supermarket in Chicago! A Whole Foods with a bar - beer on tap starts at $4. G&t for $5. Happy hour Monday to Friday 4-6p gets you $1 off beer and wine. Oh and of course you can do your grocery shopping too!

“Love this whole foods location.”
Love this whole foods location. Really sad their breakfast bar does not really exist anymore, they used to have the best grab and go breakfast. Still, their hot bar selection is pretty decent for lunch and dinner and the pastries are yummy. It is quite expensive though, 12$ per pound for the combined hot bar and salad bar is really overpriced, given there is also lots of items like mashed potatoes or salad greens that should definitely not cost 12$ per pound….

A clean decent, and reasonably priced store that will satisfy your food and general grocery needs when in this part of Chicago city. And definitely check out their 2-slice pizza while you’re there, I got mine around $7.50

“Super big whole foods store.”
Super big whole foods store. The pre-cut fruits are fresh and delicious as a snack especially in the hot Chicago heat! Perfect to eat along the river walk and along Lake Michigan during the late afternoons with the breeze blowing 😆

“This is my first time in Chicago.”
This is my first time in Chicago. My husband told me to get some pizza because Chicago is well known for the best pizza in USA. I was very hungry and I saw only Whole Foods store around. This store has very good variety of food and they also have a place where you sit down and eat! By the way, pizza was delicious! Also they have outlets and I charged my phone!
