2nd time here. Great shop that makes everything in house! A bit competitive for seating on weekends, so take what you can. Coffee is pretty good, only a latte (sans changes) is only $5.25. Sitting at the bar in the back is a hidden gem for people watching of the bakers.

An open, warm, high-ceilinged space for pastries, coffee, and light lunch items. An impressive display of both sweet and savory pasties await you when you get to the counter. The decor vibe is warm with lux touches (e.g. dark woods, gold tones). The double-chocolate croissant is what does it for me. It's meticulously executed for a flaky exterior with a striped glossy glaze, and a bouncy airy interior (see the photos). Lines can be long in the morning on work days, so account for that. One time, a huge tray of peach pastries was getting placed while we waited and the woman in front of me said, "I could eat a whole tray of those." I probably could too. What to get: chocolate croissant, almond croissant, shortbreads, scones

Very cute cafe/bakery I enjoyed the raspberry white chocolate croissant muffin, the chocolate croissant and my vanilla latte. When I came to check it out around 11am on a Friday it was packed, so finding seating was a bit hard. But otherwise had a pleasant experience dining here! There's also free 90 minute wifi.

“My first time here, I loved the decor.”

My first time here, I loved the decor.. the folks behind the counter were ALL so friendly, the ppl in line were also friendly. It’s hard to be cranky when you know you’re in for some yummy pastries. I bought 4 things and my friends also over indulged. The grapefruit cruffin, the Kougin Amann, the dbl chocolate croissant, the rhubarb and vanilla custard croissant, can’t pick a favorite they were all wonderful. Thank you, keep up the excellent work!

“I enjoyed my time at Good Ambler.”

I enjoyed my time at Good Ambler. As a coffee connoisseur, I enjoyed both seeing cortado on the menu and the cortado itself. I stumbled upon this place after a workout and it was so wholesome sitting here with beautiful decor and people watching. I enjoyed the communal tables, too. Their pastries looked amazing but I had to disrespectfully restrain myself.

“This was a lovely find in Chicago.”

This was a lovely find in Chicago. Their green tea was great and my sister loved her coffee. The staff is super friendly and has great recommendations. The ambiance is perfect and if I lived in the area I’d find it the perfect spot for working remotely. It’s a super cozy space and the friendliness of the baristas reinforce that. Their pastries were also wonderful. I got the ham and cheese croissant and it was perfect.

casual place good for study and work. Coffee is good, and there is a wide selection of baked goods. I ordered the cranberry scone, vaggie quiche which was fresh, and the kale salad was absolutely delicious

“OMG I wish I lived in Chicago.”

OMG I wish I lived in Chicago. What an amazing place. Great drinks, amazing pastries, beautiful chocolates, and friendly staff! If I were close to this place I'd be here every day. I'm so glad my friend recommended it. Get the almond croissant or the kouign amann although judging how those were, you probably can't go wrong with anything.

A coffee shop with excellent baked goods, drinks, service and vibe. I love how spacious and comfortable this place is. I could be sitting on the couches and even forget I’m in a public space because of how peaceful the atmosphere is. I would recommend getting the ham and cheese croissant. It’s super flakey on the outside and soft and extremely flavourful on the inside.
