“When I began working downtown, I was looking for a café that offered high-quality coffee and affordable pastries. I decided to give Cupitol a try, and it quickly exceeded my expectations. Not only do they serve excellent coffee, but they also have a fully operational in-house bakery that prepares fresh, delicious pastries daily for their various locations. At the West Loop location, you get to experience those pastries fresh from the source. Cupitol has become my daily go-to for coffee and breakfast. Beyond the quality of the food and beverages, the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. It is the perfect place to study, get work done, decompress before a long day, or take a relaxing lunch break. Based on those qualities alone, Cupitol would already be one of my favorite establishments. But what truly elevates the experience is the friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism of the staff. I especially want to recognize their manager, Andreas, who, in my opinion, makes some of the best lattes in Chicago. He does so with impressive efficiency while still making every customer feel respected and welcomed. That balance is what makes Cupitol special. The staff can make you feel like a familiar face, while still maintaining a high level of professionalism and care. If you have not been to Cupitol yet, you should highly consider making it your next stop.”
“Overall a 10/10 place to go. Everyone is fantastic, but specifically Jasmine always goes above and beyond, she always remembers me and my order and always have a nice chat. The food, coffee and atmosphere is amazing and they also have a great selection of homemade bakery as well! Also close to union station / Ogilvie so perfect if you’re on the go!”

“A de-light. I had the avocado wrap w an extra egg. The eggs were soft and luscious. The service was mad fast. Outdoor seatings had pleasant blue mosaic tables.”

“Update: please know this response is just for show. I also emailed their customer service on the day and no one for the company reached out to rectify the situation and speak with me further about how poorly I was treated. Yet! When someone who I assume they think is white (see the review form Hailey) leaves a 1 star they ask for her to reach out. STAY AWAY from this establishment especially if you are Black and want to be retreated with respect. Take your dollars elsewhere. The young girl with the curly hair who was working the check out on Saturday was extremely rude and disrespectful. She did not asked me if I was planning to stay, when I went to get my coffee order. When I informed the other staff that she never asked me if I wanted to stay, she lied and said that she asked for it to go. Also, when I arrived and tried to use tap she told me that tap wasn’t working and moments later let two other people use tap. I then proceeded to share with the manager and he couldn’t care less. Really gross service here. Definitely won’t be returning”
