I visit Bake often for their delicious bakery items, but I also purchased a half sheet marble cake for a wedding rehearsal dinner and it was so delicious! All of our guests raved about the cake and asked where we got it. I highly recommend a cake from here in addition to just strolling in for breakfast!

Delicious fresh pastries and coffee in a very charming cafe! The outdoor garden patio is very cozy with lots of shade too. The cafe has a nice gift selection with foodie books, ceramic mugs, candles, cards, and gifts. Such a dreamy spot!

Delicious everything, every time! Ordered cookies for our son’s baptism celebration and they were the talk of our party. Beautiful to display as well. People couldn’t choose a favorite, and several guests asked to take some home (hard to part with what we thought would be leftovers haha). The chocolate chip was a standout, so were the pecan shortbread. Bake is also great to just bop into on our morning walks for a latte and scone, so yummy.

My friend and I were waiting for a table at Handlebar, and we decided to walk around the neighborhood. We stumbled across Bake, and my friend said she had heard great things about it. We headed inside, and we were immediately charmed by the adorable pastel decor and warm vibes. Bake sells coffee, pastries, and assorted cutesy accessories. We browsed the offerings, and I was drawn to a gorgeous strawberry almond tart. I decided to take a chance on it, and we headed outside to their patio. The patio was secluded and shady. I loved the mural decorating the fence and the vintage seating options. I took a bite of the tart, and I was in HEAVEN. It was moist, fresh, and pleasantly sweet. Absolutely perfect! The best fresh tart I’ve had in a long time, and I can’t wait to try their other pastries when I visit Chicago again.
