“First time having Ethiopian food, what an experience I had. Highly recommend!”

“Hidden gem with excellent food and service! 10/10 recommend!”

“Absolutely delicious! Our chorus group came here after our concert (as did a few others) and had a lovely leisurely dinner, everyone tried different dishes, all fantastic. They were very careful about accommodating our people who needed gluten-free injera, as well.”

“Such great fool, and what an amazing experience! Great service. Highly recommend.”

“Meal was fantastic and could only be topped by how excellent the service was! My Habesha friends approve.”

“I strongly recommend this place! The food was amazing and the service even better. Needless to say the food didn’t last long on our plates haha”

“Great experience, I would definitely recommend it to everyone!”

“Beautiful people beautiful food! They put the Bears game at the bar on the tv for me. Cold beer. Delicious food. Excellent experience. Will be back soon!”

“We tried Awash recently, and while a few things were enjoyable, the overall experience left us underwhelmed. The sambusa had good flavor—the chicken filling was nicely spiced—but the wrapping itself wasn’t professionally done, which took away from the presentation and texture. We ordered two meals: the Meat Combo and the Tibs Sampler. Instead of serving them as two separate dishes, the kitchen combined them on one plate. Because of the overlap in meats, the portions looked noticeably smaller, and it didn’t feel like we received two full meals. Our server, Rose, was the highlight of the visit. She genuinely tried her best to understand our requests and took great care of us. She even offered complimentary tea, which was a kind gesture. She mentioned the ice cream was homemade, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enjoyable.Overall, it was a decent experience, mainly thanks to Rose’s hospitality, but I wouldn’t return for the food.”
